Best location to visit Patan!
Best location to visit Patan, just few minutes walking from Durbar Square! The room was very big and clean, bathroom functional and clean. The owner is really kind and helpful, he also helped us to have a private driver for the airport since it was at night, on a festive rainy day. Very good for the price!

Solo Female - SAFE and GREAT
I’ve already written a review on Booking.com but will go into more detail here.
You’ll be staying with Husband and Wife Ravi and Sushila. They are very hard working (they both work) but will make sure all your needs are attended too.
You can have dinner with them in the evenings for around £3-4 per night and the Dhaal Baat is GOOD. Breakfast is good too, at around £1-2 (eggs, beans, toast etc) but they will also experiment too!
I was there in December when it’s freezing and every night they filled my hot water bottle and they borrowed me a flask and filled it with hot water nightly too.
I got travellers sickness from a restaurant in Thamel and Sushila made me a Nepali tonic, gave me extra toilet roll, made me dry toast and checked to make sure I was ok. Such a sweetie! When you’re alone and unwell those small acts of kindness mean a lot.
The room is VERY large, mine had two rooms and two beds with an en-suite wet room attached. If you want to wash your clothes by hand they can give you buckets or they can wash it on your behalf for a small charge. There are quite a few stairs in the property, but I liked that because I needed the exercise haha.
They give you slippers to wear too. They have two cute dogs (that stay mostly outside).
The property is located 5 minutes walk from Patan (Lulitpur) Durbar square and is very safe. I often walked back from Jhamsikhel (about 25mins walk away) at night and never had problems.
Be clear in communication with them if you will be staying out or coming back late, for standard security reasons they double lock the door at night. I said I was staying out one night, but didn’t say I would be back and had to wake Ravi up at 4am. I was very apologetic, but he was totally fine about it.
If you’re going in Winter, bring a hot water bottle and some thermals because Nepal is FREEZING. Or you can walk nearby and buy warm clothes. They give you a heater, but I preferred to save electricity and have a hot water bottle in bed instead.
If you want to stay in homestay with a lot of freedom and space. This is the place for you!!!!!

Clean and beautiful property. Delightful People. Delicious Food.
We stayed at Sayami House for a night and after meeting Sushila and Ravi i wished we had known before how sweet they would be so that we could have stayed over for a longer time!
Before arrival :
I booked them through Agoda and Ravi was very prompt in replying when I sent a message to confirm ( I was travelling with my mum and did not want any last minute suprises). He was also very responsive when I enquired the cost of cab till the homestay and told pre paid cab is very easily available outside the airport.
Upon arrival :
Our prepaid cab driver was quite grumpy and dropped us off a little away from the location, Ravi was really kind and he came to greet us at our location and carried both of our suitcases (and i know my suitcase was defintely not light!). They were very warm and welcoming and we felt immediately at home. It felt like we were visitng our relatives.
The rooms :
The homestay is a new construction. It is very thoughtful done. Love the positive vibes in the room (and house as well actually). We got a room with balcony, double bed and ensuite bathroom. We were there in December and it was really really cold so they gave us a heater too. The room is spacious and the washroom is clean as well.
Overall space and hosts:
The dining area/kitchen is on the top floor and we had dinner at home during our stay. The dinner was delicious and served in beautifl traditional nepali dishware.Ravi and Sushila were both present and we had quite a long conversation.This is also good time to mention that Sushila is an extraordinary cook and she runs her own NGO, Parivartan that skills women in tailoring. We were joined by another guest and overall it felt good to be surrounded by such warm people. The next day too, we swapped stories and told us more of Nepal, their family, their property. Get Ravi to show you his photos of Upper Mustang trip too!!! They are the warmest people we met in our 10 day trip in Nepal.
Wifi :
Yes. Good speed and strong wifi throughout the house.
Location :
It is located some 5-10 minutes walks from Patan Durbar Square. Near to many general stores and eateries. Super covenient to explore the old lanes on foot.
Transfers :It shall takee you 700 NPR to reach Sayami House from Kathmandu airport and 100 NPR to reach the bus station. Ravi aranged for us a cab to get to bus stop as we were proceeding to Nagarkot from Patan.
Post departure :Sushila and Ravi have both kept in touch with after we left and now we are connected over instagram and Facebook.
Overall :
Clean and beautiful property. Delightful People. Delicious Food.

GREAT STAY IN PATAN!
I stayed at Sayami house for 5 nights. The room is new, well designed, clean and spacious. The bed....well sooo comfortable! The owner are very polite and helpful. Had breakfast in the morning, they also offer meals.
Conveniently located to explore all of old Patan, 10 mins walk from Durbar Square, nestled in a quaint neighbourhood away from the hustle and bussel of the main road.
Will stay again if in area and highly recommend

Amazing place
This place is really incredible. Near the historic Patan Durbar, shops, and cheap restos. Perfect for your getaway. Also, the owners are really amazing people. They treat you like family. You won't regret staying here.
