Excellent camping and guesthouse

The camping and Lighthouse is without a doubt excellent. Ablution blocks neat and clean. A must to visit when the wind allows you. Spectacular views of the whole town and the best spot to relax and watch the sunset. Best to visit is winter time as from October winds can get hectic.

Great Place

Great place to camp, super clean. Supervisor came around every night and morning to find out if anything needed. Keep it like that, great team!

Really nice place to stay!

Really nice spacious room with a well appointed kitchenette. All really clean and looks crisp and new. Shower was very nice! And the TV was internet based - could hook up to Netflix etc. The host was very nice and welcoming - we had just one night but would have been nice to stay longer. We can recommend Barrels Pub & Restaurant for dinner!

Campsite

Beautiful campsite very well maintained power and water avail. Immaculate ablutions. Excellent shower and hot hot water. Kitchen area. Stunning views from all sites. Can be very windy one moment and nothing the next. If you go during Crawfish Festival weekend like we did..if you are a light sleeper FORGET sleeping every night the noise from the VERY VERY loud music and DJ til 4 / 6am is horrendous...

If you have not been to shark Island, then you have missed out. Not only the shark land but the hidden genocide grave of the German concentration Camps. Equally don't forget the kolmanskop where the transport driver by ,then Johnny Coleman abandoned his ox wage. Kolmanskop is 10 km to Luderitz.
