Disgusting filthy and unhygienic “penthouse “

I had a dismal stay and am completely shocked at the standard here.
“Furniture “ is tired old and broken
Fridge freezer switched off
Completely rusted and gross. Worst part. The freezer door doesn’t close. My frozen food all went soft and warm and I had a whole day drive great.
Funky musty smell in the bottom area
Sliding door to balcony broken
Toilet doesn’t flush upstairs. Left a bucket for a manual flush ?
No power on the lounge area
Oven full of grimy food trays unwashed. Roaches in oven
No drinking glasses in the room
No hot water in the shower. Upstairs bathroom hand shower doesn’t even extend so you cannot shower you have to sit and use it.
I’m disgusted to say the least. And staying here is actually the worst place I’ve ever spent a night in all the places I’ve ever stayed in.

Decent option, looked better than it was

Lovely front office staff and restaurant staff.
Rooms looked good but were dusty and dated. Shower had no power at all, and towels and sheets were dirty. Bed was really hard too, like sleeping on a plank of wood !
The dinner was really tasty, fantastic view of Maputo from the restaurant and the fish was really tasty that I had.

Run down, dirty, and definitely not 3stars-

The hotel has no ventilation in the hotel, it’s dirty and in desperate need of maintenance. The lizzards run freely due to the musty corridors. They advertise the outside which is a far cry from what the inside looks like. The bathroom is dark and there is a bad smell coming from the pipes. The rooms are dusty, sheets are dirty with dampness in the ceilings. The springs from the beds are surfacing- good luck getting a good nights rest. I got sick after the first night from all the dust and dampness. The owner is disinterested in his guests needing to be transported to hospital. I was refused a refund after checking myself out to avoid a medical emergency.
