Very nice hotel good value for money

As we stayed in this hotel already 4 years ago and liked it we decided to stay here again at the end of our trip for one night. We got a room in the new part of the building. The room was not that big but had a balcony towards the courtyard with swimming pool. Everything was very new. Very good mattress but pillow was too high for me. Unfortunately the bathroom shower doesn’t have a shower tray - as seen nowhere in Myanmar- which leaves your bathroom floor flooded and wet after the shower. Tea making facilities and bath robes provided. The a/c worked well. The pool seemed very clean this time, the surrounding garden is a nice little jungle. The planes could be heard but it’s not too bad. Breakfast was okay, not too much western breakfast but good eggstation with omelets and pancakes on requests. For 60 USD for the room it’s ok and I would stay there a again!

Unfriendly Employees at the Front Desk

The quality of the room is decent, and spacious. The breakfast is very poor quality. The biggest problem we had was with the management at the front desk. Now it should be said, I don’t speak Burmese language and the employees don’t speak English well. In any case, we requested a second room key, but the supervisor on duty refused. He became annoyed when I asked him why, and pointed out that providing a second room key is standard practice when there are two guests in one room.
I asked for my money back and told the staff we would go to a different hotel. He provided me with a full refund.
It is shocking to me that they would rather lose out on three nights worth of income because they refuse to provide a second room key.
I would rather stay in a lesser quality hotel with employees looking to please their guests.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed two nights at this hotel. The rooms were clean and very well appointed. Including tea kettle, coffee/ tea supplies and a hairdryer. There was a nice balcony with two chairs and a little table. Everything was very nicely done. The food was fine, but more than that the service was always very friendly and eager to help. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Lush greenery and everything clean and well done

Beautiful setting but terrible restaurant

This place a real surprise.
Very modern inside and outstanding grounds. Hard to believe in the city.
Shower was really good and BIG towels.
Quite, good bed and good sleep.
BIGGEST downside was the restaurant. No other way to say it the food is terrible.
All 3 in our party had dinner there one night and none of the food was even close to good. I just do not understand it.
The service is good but not many people understood even basic English.

Excellent!

Very impressed with this hotel! Wanted somewhere near the airport. Very clean & comfortable & a balcony oveooking the pool & garden. Enjoyed using the pool. Breakfast excellent. Friendly & helpful service. Would definitely use again if wanting a hotel near the airport.
