The staff could not have been better. They went out of their way to greet you and provide excellent service. They seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs and are up early cleaning and maintaining the property.

Rabid racoons, cant use amenities safely. No back up power if electricity goes.. this means no ac! Strongly not recomme!
Don't stay here... rabid racoons and no back up generator if power goes out. I booked a one-night stay at Punta Piedra Beach Posada on June 2, 2026, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience that forced my family and me to leave only a few hours after checking in.
The check-in process was smooth; however, the issues began shortly afterward. My wife, our 3-month-old baby, and I were sitting in the outdoor area attached to our room having a snack when we were approached by three raccoons. One of the raccoons jumped onto our table and grabbed a bag of chips, while the others came very close to us, frightening my wife and causing significant distress to our baby.
The raccoons continued returning to the area looking for food, making it impossible for us to comfortably use the outdoor space that was advertised as part of the accommodation. My wife became increasingly concerned for our safety, particularly after observing the raccoons fighting with one another right outside beachside room. As a result, we felt confined to our room for the remainder of our stay there.
To make matters worse, the property then experienced a power outage, and staff were unable to provide any estimate as to when power would be restored. We waited several hours, but without electricity the room became extremely hot and uncomfortable. Given these circumstances, we made the difficult decision to leave the property at approximately 10:45pm and secure accommodations elsewhere.
I booked this stay expecting a safe and comfortable environment for my family, particularly with a young infant. Unfortunately, the combination of the persistent raccoon issue and the extended power outage made that impossible. I asked for compensation or some sort of rectification and nothing.... this place has a nice view but not recommended at all.

We were greeted the very first step onto the property! The owner checked us in and treated us to a room upgrade. We were in room 8 which was a second story room & had a lovely outdoor sitting area with a view of both the pool and ocean. Our room had a king bed, AC, mini fridge, kettle & coffee maker. Our safe didn’t work so we just kept things with us while we went out unfortunately. We ate dinner once in the restaurant which was delicious. We had a fabulous time at the resort. We were under the impression breakfast was included with our reservation bad sadly was not. I think including a breakfast would be a great addition. Location of the resort was good for walking to a few restaurants(not a ton in the immediate area), 7/11 convenience store, bike/scooter rentals. Hotel is directly on the beach & made for perfect
Sunrise views! We walked into Tulum town and another day rented bicycles which we’d do both again! Really cute place overall, was very quaint, clean and all staff were pleasant friendly and helpful!

I loved my stay! My room had an amazing view and was so pretty!...every day enjoyed the sunshine...The staff was super nice! Ale was very kind and professional.

Lovely local style hotel. Our beachfront room was perfect for listening to the ocean as we slept. The little bay would be perfect for swimming but the Sargassum was an ever present problem—arriving out of the normal season this year. The small plunge pool served as a nice alternative for cooling off. The hotel is located on a short stretch with lovely restaurants, a few small shops and a handy convenience store. The on site restaurant was tasty, and on beach service at guest-only cabanas and beach chairs was very convenient and friendly.
