Best value in Oaxaca and great for vegetarians who like to cook for themselves

We relocated to this hotel because Cathedral plaza was so noisy. Suites del Centro was quiet and really well set-up. The suite we chose (106) had a very usable kitchen with a cook-top and fridge and seating area, a separate bedroom with a small courtyard off it and a separate bathroom. Javier, the owner, supplied water coolers and tea and coffee in the foyer in the morning. And to top it off there is a very spacious rooftop terrace with views of the city an mountains. Probably the best value in town. Javier is a wonderful manager

The good and the bad

I just recently returned from. 9 day stay at this hotel. The good: staff very accommodating. We had two people in our group take I’ll and they were very helpful. Going above and beyond, changing bedding, referring doctor. Previous review mentioned water problems this was not the case the water was fine and hot. Rooms were a good size, Wi-Fi was good, there was a kitchen although we did not cook. Television was good with some channels in English.
There was coffee and bread or cookies each morning in the lobby. The hotel is located very close to the centro a few block walk. Lovely roof top space that was not used.
The bad: neighborhood is a little dirty, we found bugs in kitchen and ants.

Amazing stay!!

Great family apartment with two bedrooms, really clean, great coffee in the room and in the lobby too, bring the coffee upstairs and enjoy the best view of the city, friendly and very helpful staff, nice place to stay

Great place, Great price, great location.

This place was clean, spacious, rooms were in a quiet location, the tropical colloquial vibe was awesome. The balcony on top had a view of the whole city and was very spacious to do whatever. It was also very private when we went, so we didn't bump into any other travelers. Highly recommend this place!

Authentic Mexican hotel in great location

We were here for the "Day of the dead" festival, which was amazing ! Had 4 nights here, all was good, only negative was that the hot water was hit and miss ! Room was large, comfy clean,quite dark and certainly not luxurious. Staff were friendly, roof top terrace had some great views of Oaxaca City and the surrounding mountains. Safe deposit boxes were available at the front desk.
Location was excellent, just a short walk to the central square and plenty restaurants nearby.
A good choice in an older,authentic Mexican building, just don't expect luxury here ! I would stay here again if ever in Oaxaca Ciy.
