A perfect stay in Mérida
A perfect stay in Mérida!
We stayed a few nights in La Piazzetta and the hotel really made the difference in our trip. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very well located to visit the historic center on foot.
The owner is exceptional: always available, very friendly and especially very good advice. He helped us organize our tour of the city, find great places to eat (both for lunch and for the evening) and he even took care of booking for our Christmas dinner, which made family life a lot easier.
Thanks to him, we discovered places and addresses that we would never have found alone.
I highly recommend this hotel in Mérida, especially if you like to be welcomed and guided as if you were being received with friends. What makes this hotel really special is all the little details that make the difference. The location first: located on a nice quiet little square, close to the center, it is ideal to do everything on foot without being in full noise of Plaza Grande. We are close enough to everything, but in a quiet enough corner to sleep well.
The owner really takes the time to talk, to give ideas adapted to what we like to do (walks in town, cenotes, visits around Mérida) and even to warn about what is less worth it, which avoids wasting time. We feel that he knows the area very well and likes to show it around.
The general atmosphere of the hotel is very warm and friendly: we are not in a big impersonal establishment, but in a place on a human scale, where we quickly feel at home. Everything is simple, well thought out and done with care. Whether for a short stay in the city or as a base to explore the surroundings, this is really an address to keep and recommend. Breakfast is a real pleasure to start the day well. Fresh fruit, good coffee, juice and everything you need to leave full without being heavy. It is simple, but very well done and served with attention.
Having breakfast on site before going to explore Mérida and the surrounding area, it was really a plus: no need to look where to go in the morning with the children, everything is ready and quality. It clearly contributes to the “feel good” aspect of this hotel.

Everything was excellent, AC, shower, were all working and breakfast was nice. And owner gave informed us on what events were available for the today.

Very clean basic rooms and 5 star service
We stayed here after reading the great reviews.
The location in Centro is perfect, parking is available. There's a nice park across the street. The rooms are basic but very clean. No fridge, microwave or tv. The price is very good for this area. The real star of this hotel is Leo and Augustin and the rest of the staff. Everyday we received messages to let us know of all of the events happening around the city. Every time we came back to the hotel, they always offered us cold water. There is beer and drinks available for purchase at great prices. Augustin even taught my wife and I hope to drink mezcal properly. Muchas gracias, Augustin. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels that had nowhere near the service that Leo and his staff provided. The breakfast of fruit and yogurt and juice and coffee in the morning was delicious. Merida is a special city. We will come back and we will always stay at this hotel. Leo and his family and staff made this a truly wonderful and unforgettable stay.

Fantastic
We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Hotel la Piazzetta in Merida. The location is perfect, close to everything, but very quiet being in front of the charming Plaza de la Mejorada.
From the moment of arrival we felt at home, thanks to Maria’s affection and Leo’s super complete explanations about everything to do in Merida, with lots of interesting cultural plans, and restaurants.
The quiet room, very clean, comfortable and with a lovely natural light from the garden patio to which we could exit directly.
We thank Leo for the interest in meeting our special requests for breakfast. Start the day with fresh fruit, tea or coffee, yogurt, pasta of the day, for us everything you need.
And at night, Augustine, a lovely gentleman who offered us water and infusions.
On the day of departure, to top it off, Leo offered to take us to the bus station after our uber failed. What more can you ask for!! Everything perfect and to have been longer!
