Highly highly recommended

Update May 2026. The place is a discovered treasure. Excellent. Wonderful. I’ve stayed in a bunch of places around the city. When a friend introduced me to this hotel it became my favorite. So, it’s still my favorite place to stay when I come here.
Such a comfortable bed, hot water, kitchenette, comfy sitting area. This will ALWAYS be the hotel that I book from now on.
Alfonso Reyes in Condesa is an amazing street for dining and truthfully, I don’t think that I would have discovered or realized this had it not been for my Time Left group appointment tonight, (an app that pairs six strangers at a restaurant on Wednesday night for socialize over dinner), would have chosen Ciena on this street. The food was good, and based on the fiverdity of what was irdered, I give Ciena a thumbs up.
Walking back to my hotel I discovered a place called Yucatán En Su Mesa,. The famous Botanico and Antolina restaurants are on the street. Two historically significant chain taquerias , Califa and Farolito, a Roxy Neveria, a Portuguese bakery, and even a Barbie themed Starbucks. And so it’s definitely a street that you should check out. Also, I passed by two gourmet themed stores; one featuring Japanese ramen and products to sell and another featuring gourmet mezcals. They are not cheap but hopefully, of a quality that justifies the price.
Catfecito cat cafe is nearby on Baja California. Two laundromats within walking distance.
Sr. Croissant is good.
Green Grass across street for soup salad sandwich.
Not the hotels fault but there is some street noise. Being so convenient to the metro and big streets. Very. Easy. Fix, though. Earplugs. Problem solved.
So yeah, for packing always pack ear plugs and sleep mask. Just a good practice.

Nice hotel with a lot of road noise!

This is a nice hotel. We however left 3 days early. We were on the street side and our friends room on the back side. We got 3 hours sleep with ear plugs and decided to move the next day. The hotel staff was nice and offered another room on the back side. Our friends who stayed on the back side stated it was still quite loud and effected their sleep. The volume is from the very busy intersection outside and cars constantly honking their horns. We have traveled internationally a lot and honestly only stayed in one louder hotel. It was situated above a latin night club.

So very noisy! We left after one day of our four day reservation. It’s and old building on a very busy corner. Manager offered the quieter side that our friends were already on. It was loud in this room also so we declined. Good location but that’s Anna issue.

Wonderful and friendly host! Knowledgable about the area. The space is also relaxing, great water pressure and very clean and stylish! I loved staying here. I would advise that there is no signage on the front door so make sure you go up and knock to be let in. Ease of access in and out once settled and very safe with great restaurants and bars nearby! Thanks for a great stay!

Can’t do stair it’s not for you. If you can, then you’re in for a treat every room is different decorated overwhelmingly want to sleep. It’s very accommodating and Martin is a delight.
