All of the hotel was clean. The ocean side has a beautiful view. Staff was very friendly & bilingual.

The rooms where ok and the cleaning staff were helpful but the staff from reception was a little unhelpful the sea was open with red flags and when I asked if was ok to go there and enter with kids they said yes until another person from another hotel come and tell as that was dangerous and don't go in we new about it the only amenities we like was the pool and they don't let food in the hotel but they let us eat in the rooms. But the way there were roches and small crabs in the rooms.

This is a simple hotel on the beach with some rooms facing the ocean. Rooms are of a typical size. The bathroom is tiny with the sink separated from the toilet and the shower by the door. A typical smell of a hotel room in a tropical climate.
Upon check-in they require you to sign a list of house rules, one of which prohibits you from bringing any food or drinks not purchased on premises to your room; quite weird.

Ocean was right outside our door, although the rooms are older it was kept well. Wifi is weak and there was no bathroom items except a bar of soap.

I was expecting a luxurious hotel but it was more of a standard one that suited the Mexican families that stayed. Beachfront was nice but the waves were huge and crashed incessantly. Take earplugs. Honestly not worth the price. I moved to a new hotel in Melaque that was Cdn $65/nt less. Twice the size AND had a kitchenette. If you want luxury in Barra, consider the Grand Isla, it’s not that much more.
