First Time

We really had a GREAT TIME!! First time to Bacalar - probably won't go back.
Been there done that - but it was a nice trip and the hotel was was clean, great breakfast, nice pool, no complaints - centrally located - they have a fridge in the main lobby if you want to store food or beverages. Blackouts happen pretty regularly in the town and I mean whole town goes black - but not for long. Our friends went the week after we did - blackout!!

Dismal hotel would never recommend it

poor condition of furniture, covered bathrooms, the character of the people attending very bad, very old mattresses hurt when bed without available towels, they said the tapeworm the laundry. the location of the hotel does not merit the price besides its old facilities and is not like in the photos

Avoid this place all coast! DO NOT GO!

I had never been in such a horrible hotel in my life, we arrived in the middle of a downpour and the people who worked at the hotel saw us unloading 6 suitcases and were not even able to make an attempt to help us. It is understood that for the price we paid we did not expect a red carpet upon arrival.
The conditions of the hotel still leave a lot to be desired, it needs a lot of maintenance.
The room we had looked clean, however there were 3 lizards comfortably, one in the bathroom and the other two in the room, they changed our room and the problem was solved.
Lastly, we had read the reviews that the internet had faults, because it never worked with us, not even when we were next to the modem, we had to leave and they did not want to cancel the reservation, much less refund our money.

Great value

We really enjoyed our stay here. Perhaps it wasn't as luxurious as some we stayed in but the rooms were clean, spacious and had air conditioning. Sitting by the pool with a cold beverage was a daily activity. It is close enough to city centre to make a nice walk. You can catch a local softball game just a couple blocks away. The lake front is also well within walking distance and we went every day as well. There are good restaurants all within 15 minutes walk and you can rent bikes if you want. They offer tours of the beautiful lagoon, which we would highly recommend. It is a very fun tour and so interesting. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. We would stay here again, no hesitation. We felt safe and well looked after!

"Nice place to stay"

The place is quiet, nice and clean, the pool area is very nice, the staff is friendly and gentle. The breakfast has the traditional Mexican homemade style. I love the tortillas and the Mexican sausage
I want to go back there soon !!!
