Just wanted to mention two staff at Belle Mar Plage, Darmen and Charles who both work at Reception and equally provided incredible service to us in recommending a day trip to Ill aux Cerfs and also for helping us with a pharmacy delivery.

welcome home in paradise

This was our second trip to this fantastic hotel and this time around we spent it in a fantastic private villa with pool. We had all the restaurants and facilities of a top class hotel including 2 golf courses on our doorstep. The bells and brass knobs of staying in a villa is the service you receive from your own personal butler! Jessen couldn't do enough for us - bookings, towel art on another level, freshly baked cakes every day and choices of wine and drinks in our own kitchen. We loved the garden around the pool full of exotic birds. Thank you to Emmanuel too who is the villa manager - our friends extended their stay and he spent 40 mins on the phone to BA changing their flight - he can't do enough for you either - they run a great team of efficient, friendly, discreet lovely people. An absolute jewel in the Indian Ocean

We have recently returned from a 2 weeks holiday in Mauritius. We chose Belle Mare Plage again after holidaying there just before Covid. We were so pleased to find that Belle Mare proved the perfect holiday destination yet again. On arrival the welcome we received was exceptional and felt us feel very special. Thankfully BMP have recovered from the awful conditions that Covid imposed upon all of us with exactly the same happiness, efficiency, and professionalism in the aim of providing all their clients with an unforgettable holiday experience. We stayed in a Junior De Luxe suite overlooking one of the many pools with the beach just beyond, occasionally the music from The Bar (with entertainment most evenings) was a little "basey" but the music always finished at 11.00 pm so didn't really prove much of an issue. The cleanliness of our room was done daily by Madvi who had a delightful personality and smile together with an enjoyable chat with Mutty who wanted to ensure we were happy with the service of our room, nothing was ever soo much trouble. Breakfast can be taken at either La Citronelle restaurant where the choice is outstanding, or either at one of the golf courses where a lighter breakfast is available, absolutely perfect for golfers . We were lucky enough to be served at La Citronelle by a sweet lady by the name of Katousha who was happiness itself together with ensuring we started our day off well! In the evenings we ate mostly at The Deer Hunter where it was nice to be served at dinner in a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The staff at The Deer Hunter were so professional, one who stood out was a young lad by the name of Daniesh (may not have spelt that correctly), he will go far and wouldn't be out of place in a top London restaurant. His knowledge, attitude, courteous, sweet nature and professionalism was exceptional, I cannot speak more highly of him. After holidaying there a couple of years ago we were lucky to become acquainted with a guy called Kailash who we remained in touch with throughout covid. He is a true star in many ways and I think is probably known to all for his cheerful personna, always making sure that the holiday is going well. When it was time to say our goodbyes we were so lucky to have our accommodation extended, a late departure was kindly made so much more pleasant when Nancy and Princess kindly enable us to remain in our room for the whole day until we departed at 6.00 pm.
All in all our time at Belle Mare Plage was wonderful and so look forward to returning, hopefully next time with friends who we know will love the hotel and the Mauritian people just as we do. I can honestly say that we believe the Mauritian people to be the nicest in the world.

Must Go destination

Great place to vote to , very cordial staff , Ashmed was absolutely fabulous in making sure everything we required was there on time and in place , thank you Ashmed... The resort is quite huge and going here and there requires you to either walk long or take a Buggy , and the buggy drivers are all very welcoming and nice and chirpy , always ready to help and take you around, especially Kailash , thank you kailash ... the food at various restaurants was fabulous and the views from Le Swing and Deer Hunter are gorgeous and over looking the golf courses ... also took a golf initiation course, and the coach was very nice and kind enough to give us a lesson and orientation in Golf , thanks coach ...
Overall a very Great experience for me and my family ... looking forward to coming back ...

The perfect place!!

A really nice place to relax and play golf.
All the Hotel Staff are really kindly all the time.
A special mention to our Housekeeper, Mrs. Reshma, who take care of us every day, with a beautiful surprise in our last night (sse the picture).
