Peaceful spot in the middle of ancient medina

The place is very cozy, rooms are clean and sheets are soft, you better avoided the third floor rooms especially in august (so hot).
Abdussalam is a very kind and trustworthy man.
I highly recommend this place if you were looking to see the heart of Chaouen.

Charmant but little clean

A small hotel in the Medina, it can only be reached on foot, the rooms are located on several floors with a rather steep staircase with quite high steps. The rooms are small and essential. It has the charm of a typical property and a beautiful roof terrace. Traditional Moroccan breakfast. Nice Service. Cleanliness definitely improveable.

Beautiful place but can be a nightmare!

We stayed there on night. It is really very simple but also very very beautiful. Every room is tiny but has a private bathroom. All decorated with a good taste. There is a fantastic view of the mountains from the beautiful terrace where you can sit and relax.
We didn't try the breakfast which was 35 dinars and it is buffet we were told.
We had the two rooms at the top floor. One of them had the window with mountain view. Everything was almost perfect until we got off at midnight with the noise of school group shouting and banging doors, talking in laud voice. The came and left in 15 min, The worse was at 2 am when they all came back and started to make more noise than before. I had to get up and tell them I was going to call the police so they started to be quiter. But they ruined our sleep. As the rooms are so tiny and the windows are thin, it can be a real nightmare for a person who wakes up easily. I haven't noticed any teacher around and even the owner of the hostel wasn't around to tell them be quiet. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, at least on the top floor didn't work. The water was almost cold that we were freezing. There wasn't any hair dryer. I think you have to pay extra for the heating. But it was less cold in the rooms during the night than during the day.
Over all, if there weren't noisy people staying in and if there was some hot water, we would have been perfect.
In the morning, neither the teachers or the owner did apologies for the disaster of the night while we were leaving.

Cozy hostel

The place is clean and cozy, perfect to have a rest after a day visiting Chaouen or near places. The breakfast is very complete. We stayed in a three beds room with private bathroom, so was good for us.

Great hostel and good value for money in the heart of Chefchaouen

The hostel is very nice, rooms are cosy, breakfast is amazing (but not included, you have to pay 35 DH more per person), great value for money, would recommend!
The only thing is that it is super hard to find in the medina: we arrived in the middle of the night and nobody was answering the phone at the riad so it took us 45 minutes to find it. My advice would thus be to ask beforehand the hostel for a detailled map to find them (Google Maps or any travel guide are not precise enough).
