coffee needs some work , but plenty of good espresso in the Medina, a short walk away

Beautiful Riad, Terrible Service
The Riad itself is exceptionally beautiful, and our room was nice. However, the service and organization were unprofessional and disappointing. They seemed to have forgotten our reservation, leading to a chaotic half-hour check-in delay and an unnecessary discussion about our prepaid status. My attempts to contact them beforehand about parking and directions were unanswered.
The room was assigned with a dirty bathroom (hair from a previous guest), and it took several hours and multiple reminders to get it cleaned so we could shower. After all of this, the general staff's attitude was equally poor; they were unfriendly and often ignored our greetings. The only saving grace was the good breakfast and friendly kitchen and cleaning stuff.

Thousand and One Night Riad in Fes
A thousand and one nights Riad, with a brand new structure and in a great position to visit the Medina. The decor of the rooms is in typical Moroccan style, with particular attention to detail. We were ecstatic by the staff, very kind and impeccable English, always ready to satisfy our every need. Particularly appreciated also the large terrace, from which to enjoy a beautiful view of the Medina.
We had dinner twice in the riad (great food at a good price) and location of the dining area is beautiful!
If I could give more stars I would not hesitate to do it!

Worst accommodation I’ve stayed in
The Riad itself was lovely and in a great location, however the customer service and their willingness to problem solve was extremely poor. We had travelled throughout Morocco for two weeks and have loved and appreciated all of our other accommodations, this was definitely inferior. Firstly, the bathroom had a problem with a leaking shower, which resulted in flooding the tiles leading to the bedroom. This in itself was not a problem for us, as we could solve it with additional towels, however when we asked the manager for additional towels to soak up the water we were refused and told we could only have two. The following day we explained the problem and again (wondering if he hadn’t understood the problem) and he said yes he understood but was not willing to solve the issue and we were ignored and only given 1 bath towel! Additionally our room fronted onto the foyer, and the curtains were sheer so people could look into the room as they were passing ! It was very weird and we were so uncomfortable when we were in our room. The lights in the passage remained on all night shining through the ‘curtain less’ windows so it was impossible to sleep. Finally, the breakfast was ridiculously slow, and extremely poor quality. We’re not fussy eaters and don’t have high standards but this was horrid! There was never anyone in reception to speak to, no matter what time you were there, the staff were just disinterested and really didn’t give a damn. We have not come across this anywhere else in Morocco, everywhere else was amazing. Seriously, don’t stay here!
