DIRTY ROOMS WITH BOT FLIES
I stayed at Hotel Jerai in Alor Setar and was shocked by the level of cleanliness. The room was extremely dirty — we found bot flies inside, which is just unacceptable. The shower stopped halfway through use, leaving us stranded mid-shower. Floors clearly hadn't been vacuumed, and the toilet was not even wiped down — visible soap scum and dirt particles were everywhere. This place needs serious attention to hygiene and maintenance. Definitely would not recommend.

The location is great, right in the middle of town, so it’s easy to get around and find food or places to visit. The room was clean, which I really appreciated. It’s a bit on the small side, and the lift is quite tight too, but manageable if you’re not carrying too much.
Breakfast was okay – not amazing, but enough to start the day. Parking is available, which is super convenient if you're driving.
One thing to note: there aren’t any facilities like a swimming pool or gym, so it’s more for a simple, no-frills kind of stay.
All in all, it’s a clean, comfortable place with good service and a great location. Would recommend for short stays or business trips!
