One of the best Maldivian hotels for me
The ideal location is on the edge of the village, practically in the jungle (I woke up to the chirping of birds and flying foxes). The hotel has only 4 rooms, a common area in the yard, you can make something or have tea/coffee. The room is probably the most comfortable of my Maldivian experiences - lots of outlets, different lights by area, the perfect bathroom with a huge countertop (and I have a lot of make-up) and a simulated open shower like a resort. Snorkel area is close by, bikini beach about 8 minutes on the beach. Breakfast is served at the Sea Breeze restaurant in the harbour, where I had dinner (also class - extensive menu and very delicious, the chef used to work at the resort). Owner Mohamed and his brother Adam are wonderful people, have been my patron since I arrived in Malé, arranged transfers, kept company at dinner, had a wonderful farewell barbecue.

What a disappointment
Left the island after a few days without getting any refund. It is a shame that the owner had forgotten to tell us that the bikini beach was practically unusable. There was, in fact, a construction site for a future hotel!

A pristine corner
Kihaadhoo can be reached in about 2 hours by fast boat from Male’
Small island that turns quietly on foot even if they use mopeds a lot
From the port you can easily reach other nearby islands.
I counted 3 small super markets that have a bit of everything and with really bargain prices.
Very friendly local people who do not hesitate to greet you when they meet you
There is a restaurant where you eat good local food and a bar where you can drink tea and coffee, of course alcohol is forbidden
At the edge of the village just after the small hospital and pharmacy there is kihaa holday home only accommodation facility currently present on the island.
Another structure is under construction in fact they know working facing the sea and have put the masts for another wharf and a 12-room hotel is almost finished and is located near the port.
The guest house is located a few steps from the sea , one of the passages to the reef (which can be reached with a few fins) , the bikini beach equipped with sun loungers and umbrella.
Kihaa holiday house has 4 rooms ,1 larger with a double bed and a single bed and 3 with double bed.
The rooms are basic but spacious and comfortable and equipped with fully functional and quiet air conditioning, they consist of a bed with 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe, 2 cabinets and a mini bar
The bathroom is very large with semi open shower as in Maldivian style
each room has its own private veranda with space to hang wet costumes or towels
There is a common open space with chairs and table, wires for hanging laundry and there is a laundry corner with washing machine available.
Another common area completes the structure with dining tables , refrigerator with water always available and kettle for tea and coffee , toaster and some food always available such as bread for toast and jam .
I chose the half board formula with breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast is brought every morning by the owner and are very good Maldivian style home cooked things, dinner is eaten at the restaurant where you eat really well. Some evenings dinner is prepared at the guest house for example grilled fish caught by guests.
Mohamed is a very attentive and present host, always ready to meet every request of guests or give advice.
His brother Adam accompanied me snorkeling and wherever I wanted to go including the excursion to the turtle reef and explained some local customs
I recommend this property to those not looking for luxury but a nice place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Maldives sea.
