A great last night in Malawi

We spent our last night in Malawi at the Kabula Lodge. The room was very comfortable and included mosquito netting. We had access to a kitchen. The hotel restaurant food was excellent and the view from the terrace is amazing!

Great views and friendly accommodation

I've been to kabula several times over the last few years and will always consider coming back. The lodge is situated in a calm neighborhood, the view is awesome, and Alice is taking great care of all needs of the customers. The lodge is clean and staff is very friendly and always helpful. There is daily transport to QECH provided if needed. Looking forward to my next stay.

Had a good 3rd Visit

This was my 3rd stay at Kabula Lodge whilst volunteering at Queen's hospital, my first being in 2022. It's a lovely place to stay with a quiet setting, beautiful views and congenial company of other International guests. The breakfasts set you up for the day and there is an evening meal should you so wish which is very tasty.
The rooms are clean and depending on your budget come with extras like fridge and air con. The staff are very loyal and kind and you feel very safe with a guard on duty 24 hours. It is easy to walk into Blantyre during the day and use a taxi at night.
The lodge provides a minibus service to the hospital daily which is fantastic.

Would recommend for short stays and long for volunteers etc. Would stay again.

Stayed for 8 weeks while working in Malawi - would recommend. Lovely gardens, friendly helpful staff and everything was spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds with mosquito nets provided. I had some food in lodge on couple of nights and it was delicious.
Felt very safe with gated entry and security guards. Good wifi overall, couple of outages but this very normal for Malawi. There was recurring issue with no hot water few days towards end of the stay but manager very approachable and was doing their best to get sorted as quickly as possible. Again not unusual for malawi so have to have realistic expectations! Would recommend for few days while travelling or for longer stays if volunteering etc.
