There are flies everywhere in the kitchen, which is absolutely unacceptable. The air conditioning is on a timer, so in the middle of the night you end up overheating — especially if you like sleeping under blankets. For some reason, they think it’s fine to turn off the AC in guest rooms, yet the lobby AC stays on for them 24/7. How rude and inconsiderate — it feels like they care only about their own comfort, not their guests’. Who puts air conditioning on a timer in a hot country like Laos?
On top of that, the kitchen is filthy. They keep the garage door open while people are cooking, which explains why there are flies everywhere. The breakfast is just as bad — cold, poorly prepared, and far from appetizing.
To make matters worse, there are cameras covering every angle of the property, leaving guests with no sense of privacy. There’s even one facing the alley and nearby homes, which feels invasive and strange.

Very average stay,, I stayed here at the end of March for 2 nights. overall the vibe in vientiane was not great so maybe that affected my experience. Sleeping in the dorm rooms was difficult because of the way the beds were built, almost like coffins - it would get quite unbearable in the heat. Also the kitchen was full of flies and kind of dirty. Hostel was run by volunteers and felt quite cliquey, however the location was ok.

The hostel itself is nice, the rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. I also think it is a good place to meet new people. The hostel is a great location and it has a very nice breakfast!
I was travelling with my girlfriend and it was a nice place to stay, specially with the oportunity to stay in a double-bed bunked beds :)
However, there are a few buts…
- It is mandatory to remove your shoes at the entance, which is fine, except for the fact that not all the floors are very clean, it is not very nice to walk to the toilet and get your feet wet (God knows what’s the wet thing) or walk around the hostel and get to bed with your feet dirty…
- The beds are very nice, with nice pillows and nice sheets, however, the matress is folded with a plastic bag, making it very noisy and a little bit uncomfortable
- The staff at the hostel are volunteers, something that is pretty cool for young travellers, but most of the times they had no idea for most of the basic things and were super scared every time someone needed help or was asking questions. I think they should get a better training, that’s it :)
Anyway, I really think it’s a good place to stay, I’m taking the time to provide some feedback just to make this place even better :D

The hostel is considered to be in a good location, the pillows were clean but the duvet cover smelled really bad. It makes a lot of noise when you move in the bed and it is disturbing. Credit cards cannot be used in general, so it is not possible to buy anything with your card from the market or the hostel and the internet works very slowly in the room
