An absolute paradise in Southern Laos!
Waking up to panoramic views of the Mekong River from your private wooden bungalow is unforgettable. What makes this place truly special is how effortlessly the lodge organizes day trips around the region. They helped us set up an excursion to the Bolaven Plateau to experience the famous Tad Fane waterfall zipline, as well as white-water rafting, jungle trekking, and local island tours.
After an adventurous day, coming back to unwind by the pool, enjoy incredible food, and watch the sunset over the river was magical. The staff treat you like family from day one. Unbeatable experience! ✨

Fabulous place
You take a boat ride to arrive at La Folie lodge which a great experience in itself.
Onsite there is a yoga teacher and we did a couple of classes. My husband took a bike and rode around the island. Even though you are on a river there is a massive expanse if sand so it feels like a beach, we took a wander to the waters edge and came across a herd of cattle. Food at the hotel was great. I would go back in a heart beat.

Vos mots ont voyagé jusqu’à nous comme une douce brise du Mékong… et ils ont fait sourire toute la maison.

Vos mots ont traversé le Mékong pour venir jusqu’à nous… et ils ont doucement illuminé la maison.
Merci d’avoir saisi cette atmosphère un peu à part, entre la pirogue, les couchers de soleil et cette sensation de pause hors du temps. C’est exactement ce que nous cherchons à préserver, avec simplicité.
Votre regard sur l’équipe nous touche beaucoup, et nous ne manquerons pas de transmettre vos mots à Sam, qui y met tout son cœur.
