Fabulous stay. The room was huge, comfortable, clean, and bright. The river view from the balcony was magical - one doesn’t even need a river cruise as the views from the room and Hotel itself are so good! The staff are excellent - they’re very well trained, polite, friendly, and efficient. Staff went over and above on many occasions and made the stay very enjoyable for us. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the main town centre and the hotel offers a free shuttle all day long to pick & drop. My only suggestion is to improve the restaurant within the hotel. I ate lunch twice and was not impressed with the food quality. A top class hotel like this should have a high standard restaurant.

Ridiculously peaceful.

My experience at the Relaxful Hotel was amazing. Its a very peaceful environment located on the Mekong River about ten minute out of Luang Prabang with an elegant eaterfront design. The rooms were comfortable with AC adaptable outlets and comfortable air-conditioning. The highlight though was the staff who were stellar. The people of Laos are incredibly friendly and the hotel team were among the best I met. The food was good, mostly Lao cuisine.
They have convenient, on-call shuttle service into town, or wherever, to shop, eat and wander around. They even drove me to the train station which was a bit of a drive. I highly recommend.

Excellent hôtel - highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at the Relaxful Hotel. Although it’s located about 3 km from Luang Prabang’s historical old town, the neighbourhood offers a refreshing glimpse into the real, everyday life of the city—authentic, local, and full of charm. The hotel provides a free tuk-tuk service to the town centre until 4 pm, and even after the night market begins and the main road is closed, you can easily be dropped at the start of the market and enjoy a pleasant walk into town.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, very comfortable, and equipped with excellent facilities. We especially appreciated the complimentary access to a washing machine and the convenient clothes stand on the balcony. Breakfast was delicious, and having our morning coffee while looking out over the serene Mekong River was truly magical.
Relaxful Hotel is also right next to the lovely Ock Pop Tok textile centre, which features a fantastic café and restaurant—perfect for a relaxed meal close by if you don’t feel like heading into town. Throughout our stay, the hotel staff were attentive, responsive, and unfailingly polite. The complimentary airport transfer was an added bonus that made our departure smooth and stress-free.
We had an amazing time at the Relaxful Hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Luang Prabang.

Lovely hotel directly at the river. Beautiful balcony for breakfast and restaurant food, another terrace directly at the river for relaxing and reading. Rooms are spacious and clean. Walls not too thick though. Stuff is super friendly and welcoming. Free airport/train station shuttle and shuttle to the city center.
