Fantastic river view

We really enjoyed our stay at Nongkhiaw River View. Spacious rooms which really do have a wonderful river view - we were on the top floor. Comfortable bed and bedside tables both sides. There was a choice for breakfast which they bring up to your section of balcony. The omelette is delicious! Really quiet during the day. Only slight comment is that the windows at the back just have shutters, no glass, so noise does travel in from outside - but it wasn't a major issue and we were there three nights. Great base to explore lovely Nong Khiaw.

DISGUSTING! The worst Hotel

Do NOT book it! Disgusting!!
Sabadieh River View was the worst Place we ever stayed! Low Budget is alright, but here the rooms are Dirty and filfthy. Everywhere are dead and living animals. Moult in the bathroom. No warm water, sometimes No electricity. The bed is hard like a Stone. I woke up several times in the Night because of my back pain from the bed.
For breakfast you wait 40 to 60 Minutes.
I wished we wouldnt had to stay here.

Simply very good

We stayed five nights here , and thought it was simply wonderful. It has the most stupendous views from right outside your room, is peaceful, and has all the basics anyone could want when visiting this pretty little town. The owner was unfailingly polite and helpful. The breakfast was not a buffet, but instead a freshly cooked tray of food brought right up to your room at a time to suit you. To be honest, we were so enchanted by the view that we didn’t really mind that the coffee was Nescafé or the fruit juice out of a bottle. It all tasted just fine. When we ran out of shampoo etc we just asked for more at reception, same for clean towels, or having your room cleaned ...just ask! The WiFi was good, and the room perfectly clean. We had lots of showers though the water pressure was a bit temperamental.The low loo is a challenge for anyone with creaky knees! I would recommend this little hotel to any traveller willing to overlook a few tiny little details and to enjoy the big picture....it's right outside your window and worth a million!

Cheap basic place with some teething issues

Cheap basic place - think there is better places to stay in terms of value for money.
Walls are pretty thin so you can hear the creaking door bathroom next door, or their bathroom extractor fan.
Toilet is weirdly massively low to the ground - a western one.
Shower pressure and hot water temperamental. Plus bathroom drains really smell throughout the bedroom - don’t know how as their tiling seemed good on the surface.
Breakfast I would miss and go elsewhere - don’t know why they can’t give you fresh coffee or fresh juice when others can. Instead it is Nescafé and orange juice from a carton.
I’m not personally bothered about it but some might - they did not make up your room or provide you replenished drinking water.
I’d urge the management to attend to some basics like the drainage, and getting a simple breakfast right.
Staff are friendly and try their best.

Très bien si vous accepter les normes du Laos

Cette Guesthouse vaut avant tout pour sa vue exceptionnelle depuis la terrasse de chaque chambre et par la gentillesse extrême du personnel. Le bâtiment est neuf, à 5/10mn du centre pour une rue animée et agréable. Les chambres sont propres et fonctionnelles. Un certain nombre de détails ne correspondent pas aux normes européennes et il convient de l'accepter à ce tarif raisonnable pour le Laos.
