Very cool

Staff was very very nice and they provide breakfast!
What bothered me …
-no towels provided
- no paper towel in the bathrooms -how do you dry your hands???
- not a single chair or space to lay your things while you’re showering or in the room
Nice atmosphere

Awful!

Poor hostel! I only stayed one night. There was an age limit, I hadn't seen. I was forced to stay in a private room, since I was too old to stay in the shared. It was more expensive and horrible! Nothing to do with the pictures. And no private bathroom. Breakfast: refined gallo pinto and cold coffee. Worst hostel of the trip!

Friendly staff & good location

Our family was only staying for 1 night before and after spending time in Uvita. I booked a dorm room with 4 beds and having arrived on Christmas Eve, there were a lot of fireworks right outside our room (with windows open). Not the hostel's fault though.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was included, plentiful and yummy - typical Costa Rican breakfast.
When we were all sick in Uvita and wanted to cancel our last night at the hostel and opt for more of a hotel with AC, the staff refunded us without any questions asked.
Only saw 1 cat who was a little skiddish.
Pretty central location.

Ideal location, VERY VERYNOISY!

When we arrived For check in we were taken to another hotel around the corner from the stray cat - I’m not actually sure If this is even legal to put someone up in a different hotel to the one that was booked??? We were checked into a room that adjoins the downstairs public area. Every time the doorbell went or someone came into or out of the hotel you heard it. The noise was absolutely awful. If we hadn’t of just arrived after a long flight I would have moved to another hotel. The reason we stayed is because it was so convenient to get transport from 7/10 bus terminal for onward connection. Location is pretty rough! That said, the staff were very, very helpful and the breakfast was just what we needed before our joinery (toast, cereal, tea and coffee).

Nice rooms and staff, breakfast provided

The rooms are nice - spacious and clean. Good number of showers and toilets available - didn’t have to wait. They provide breakfast and the staff is very helpful. The location is somewhat iffy. Other than a quick trip to the market a few blocks away - I didn’t feel comfortable walking alone at night as a solo female traveler.
