Fantastic View

Fogo Resort Costa Rica offers breathtaking city views from the mountains above San José, providing a serene and inspiring setting. The beautiful surroundings and the picturesque view of Escazú create a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Each dining area is thoughtfully decorated, reflecting warmth and care. The resort, formerly known as the Tara Hotel, still has its characteristic white appearance, affectionately called the 'White House' by many, which adds to its charming character.
Reservations are recommended for dining to ensure a comfortable experience. During our visit for afternoon tea, we enjoyed delightful desserts like flan and carrot cake, which truly made us smile. The coffee and tea were especially comforting on a rainy day, and the refreshing watermelon juice lifted our spirits. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy afternoon tea with a fantastic view, and I highly recommend visiting it, especially in the evenings when you can see San Jose’s famous night view.

Carefull with this... you pay and they close entrance you cant can get the check in and nobody answer imposible comunication... scam

Clean room and friendly staff. Just a bit secluded from the main city, but has a beautiful view.

Great experience for very little money. Great views. The room was basic and in need of updates but spotless. Reception was very nice and service oriented. My only warning would be would be a caution to seniors. Our room was on the third floor and the hotel has no elevator. We had help taking our heavy bags up but none on the way out as it was a very early departure. Just a caution. The restaurant was wonderful and crowded for dinner. Still full till lunch the next day. Enjoy
