Hidden Gem for True Local Experience

A true Tico adventure worth its weight in gold. Esteban is a real one, providing a level of care and experiences that are unmatched in this area. A beautiful hike along the Quebrada to the magnificent waterfalls is a memorable experience. It matches and exceeds a Nauyaca visit and provides you with a connection to the land and people of the Platanillo River valley. The waterfall pool is deep and refreshing with the ability to feel the power of the river. Ropes and barriers assist the hiker down the steep sections and provide access in and out of the pool. Pura Vida . Do this tour before any other waterfalls in the area. The provided lunch was tasty and ready at the end of the hike! Mucho apreciado.

Wonderful experience

We had an excellent day in late August (rainy season), taking the challenging hike down to the bigger lower waterfalls. The uphill was easier. The smaller first swimming waterfall is not far and an easy walk.
We were fortunate to be given a beautiful Sunday. The sunbathing and swimming were amazing.
This is truly a spiritual place and experience, connecting to the water, nature, sounds, and the jungle. No large crowds like at the Nauyaca waterfalls.
The huge trees on the 200-plus-acre property are spectacular giants. Esteban is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. Bring water.
Highly recommended adventure.

Fantastic nature and great hospitality!

One of our favorite stops during our Costa Rica camping tour. Nature and wildlife were amazing with monkeys and toucans stopping by. Great waterfalls good access and Esteban a great host. We stayed two nights. Definitely a recommendation in the region!

Inaccurate website listing

I booked a room on Hotels.com. I was in a regular passenger car. When we pulled off of the highway to get to place, there was a 2 mile muddy dirt road with multiple hills and steep descents to get there. I almost got stuck about a half mile away and decided that I would not be able to get out the next morning after an evening of rainfall. Hotels.com and the hotel both denied my request for a full refund, the charged me 50%. I would not recommend this place due to the misleading advertising.

Nice Camping in front o cabin

We got here to park up our camper and they let us have use of one of the cabins for the bathroom and kitchen. Although we didn't stay in the cabin, it looked comfortable enough for a couple of nights. No wifi at cabins, which are all well spaced out, but good wifi in the ranch/restaurant/kitchen area.
The waterfall walks are great, with one being 1.5km, and very hard going toward the end, but pipes and knotted ropes are fastened to help you back up to the main track.
