A lovely chilled place to finish a busy tour

The last part of a tour, very comfortable bed and clean room, the receptionist was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast and bar were by the pool and it was a lovely area to sit chat and relax with birds and monkeys in the trees. We would stay there again

Great stay!

My overall stay was great! Anyone that knows Costa Rica knows that bugs and heat come with it! My room was nice and clean, bathroom was amazing and pool was refreshing! Staff was great and so kind ! Short walk to the beach and restaurants as well!

From the pool to the mountains.

Andrea, the owner and the staff are super attentive, friendly and very available for your needs.
The place is beautiful with a proximity to nature from the terrace/pool that allows you to observe toucans, orioles, parrots, and agoutis.
Comfortable and good-sized rooms. We will definitely go back.

Friendly, laid back, rustic, small & quiet

This was a small hotel, with nice staff and owner with a short walk to the beach. Break fast and coffee (24/7) included. Pool was nice, hot tub not working. Our room was wood paneled, small, no refrigerator or hairdryer, but everything else you would need. Nice attached deck that looked into the jungle. Great place for a coffee. Howler monkeys so close! Lots of little creatures walking around: frogs, agoutis. We were very impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. Our AC quit and three people came right away and helped us move to another room..

Warmly welcomed to Bugbutik

We loved the warm welcome to Bugbutik from Minerva! We had issues with our original Airbnb that we booked so I walked into Bugbutik to check on availability and Minerva was there so happy and willing to accommodate us. We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms a cozy, unique and clean. We had a bungalow with a wonderful patio looking out at the jungle and view of the sweet little Costa Rican critters! We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and lazy days by the pool. It was close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants. Across the street we rented bikes from the Peace Garden. Minerva the assistant manager was so wonderful and helpful and friendly. She helped us arrange transport to San Jose and gave us some wonderful ideas on places to eat and places to go, We would definitely stay there again when we return to Cocles, Puerto Viejo!
