Good place in Tolu
The hotel is relatively new, and it shows in the facilities and furniture. THey are a little basic but enough. The location is not the best as it is on the roadside with no access to beach and about 1 Km from town. It is good if your plans are business in the area

TOO MANY PROBLEMS
The rooms are very basic and unattractive. The hot water didn't work for the 4 days we were there. The wifi didn't work for 4 of 5 in our family, and only 5% of the time for the 5th person. The bedding and pillow cases were not washed, and smelled bad. There were spots on the sheets, and instead of changing them, they just kept making the dirty bed. Eww. The food in the restaurant was terrible, but priced like real food. The breakfast was horrible. Likewise the drinks at the bar were bad. Stick with beer if you end up here. We spent a lot of time at the pool, which is fine. They set up a speaker and played (loud) mixed Colombian music. When we checked out, they just gave us a total, which was higher than I expected. I asked for a receipt, and the guy at the desk flipped though a book of handwritten notes and slips of paper for about 15 minutes, until I couldn't wait any more. I paid the amount that I think was too much. Maybe not, but the seriously didn't have an itemized receipt! The building itself is not bad for this part of Colombia, but there were problems with just about everything possible.

Regarding the appearance of our facilities, specifically the rooms, we would like to clarify that they are a true reflection of the images that can be found in the different booking web pages, such as Expedia, which was used by you to make your reservation, as well as those that appear on our website.
They are spacious rooms, with double beds, with mattresses of the hotel line, equipped with bedside table, lamps, desk, chair, bathroom, air conditioning and TV with cable service.
In relation to the condition of the bedding, (sheets and towels), we allow ourselves to affirm that the hotel has a cleaning protocol and we adopt a friendly policy with the environment and the efficient use of natural resources (water and energy) ). according to which the sheets are changed every 3 nights and towels (hands, body and feet) per day. In addition, in the case of bedding, the general policy includes the obligation of the waitress to make the immediate change in case they are dirty, and always a customer requires.
In this case, does not appear in our registry, report of the change lady of the need to change or customer's request or complaint about it
The Wi-Fi service is a free service in the common areas near the Internet modems, as specified in the reservation portals, however, when the number of customers is high, it is inevitable that this courtesy will suffer degradations .
On the other hand, breakfast included in the price, includes seasonal fruit, natural juices, eggs in their different options, arepa, bread, butter, jam and hot drinks (coffee, chocolate or tea), you can optionally change for pancakes or cereal
In addition, breakfasts are also available à la carte. We regret that you do not let us know your disagreements about it, since it is a priority for us to offer a quality service, as happened in fact, with the mojito you have requested at the bar, which according to the waitress, was prepared with our recipe, but when expressing dissatisfaction with him, he was not accused.
Finally, at the time of departure, around 5:00 in the morning, and since some of your friends were in a hurry, our staff only managed to give you the account summary, however if you provide us with an address of email, we will send you the detailed invoice, which includes a correction for erroneous VAT invoiced by CP 28101.

Perfect hotel, bad location
Hotel Soleira was wonderful! The staff were great, the amenities were clean and comfortable, and we had a perfect stay! However, we were not pleased with the location. The hotel is far from the beach and the town of Tolu is not very attractive to tourists. During our stay, we found much nicer locations to spend a vacation that were outside of town. However, the hotel is nice and comfortable enough that you could spend your holiday there and never leave, and you'll be well-fed and well taken care of :-)

Soleira
This hotel is located on the road side but is not noisy as it is a kilometre outside town. The hotel is divided between ground floor (normal) and first floor (junior suites) but both are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was slow as too few staff serving, it is not a buffet breakfast. The pool is small for the size of the hotel. Supper of grilled fish was very good. Overall a nice stay in a good hotel - we spent 3 days there.

I had a great time
This was a comfortable, safe hotel that was fun to stay at. The rooms were comfortable; the restaurant was very satisfactory. The location was convenient to the town of Tolu and to the airport in Tolu. The reception staff was friendly, informative and flexible to our needs.
