Great hotel

Very nice and clean hotel in the beautiful Salento. Friendly staff and great breakfast.
Good restaurant where you can also enjoy lunch and dinner.

Probably as good as it gets in Salento

The pros:
Basic but cute. It is possible to sit in the courtyard but there was too much rain when we were here. There is a sofa in the shade.
Well-located - away from the crowds but it is a small town so central.
Large comfortable bed
Friendly staff
There is a large TV if that is important (not
for us)
Stable internet
The cons:
Quite basic - it is a town of hostels and I think this is as good as it gets.
Expensive for what you get
Small rooms with a couple of shelves as wardrobe space so we did not unpack.
The window looks into the courtyard so you have to trade privacy for more ventilation.
No glasses in bathroom and sink tap cold only.

A great place to stay in Salento

We stayed there for three nights in March and it was very quiet. There were some roadworks outside the hotel but it wasn’t a problem. The rooms are all set around an attractive courtyard and the owners are really friendly and helpful and speak good English. It is well worth booking directly through their website to get the best prices and you can arrange transfers to and from the airport at the same time too. I would also recommend eating at their restaurant. The food was fantastic - some of the best we had in Colombia. They can also make hikers lunches for you to take away when walking the Cócora loop. At the Hummingbird reserve, about half way round, there are facilities where you can eat packed lunches. All in all, I would recommend BetaHotel as a great choice of place to stay in Salento.

I highly recommend this hotel

Very nice hotel with patio. The rooms are large and very clean.
The hotel is very well placed: close to everything but away from the hustle and bustle of the night.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
Breakfasts are good and hearty.
