THE WORST HOSTING EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD
Worst lodging experience I've ever had.
Arbitrary cancellation, abuse and total unethicality.
I booked this property on May 12, 2025, almost a year in advance, through Booking, with the aim of attending the Bad Bunny concert in Medellin on January 23. We were four people who planned this trip in time precisely to avoid cost overruns and last minute problems.
On January 7, more than two weeks before check-in, I receive a message from the property informing me that my reservation had been cancelled due to “non-payment”. This is completely unacceptable and irregular, as the Booking accommodation policy itself clearly states that bookings can only be cancelled two days before check-in, i.e. from 21 January if payment has not been made.
In other words, they canceled my reservation after the deadline, arbitrarily, leaving me and my three friends without lodging, in a city in high demand for a massive event, and a few days away from the trip.
When I contacted the accommodation to ask for explanations and find a solution, the response was cold, evasive and totally lacking in empathy. They simply said that “the administration canceled it” and that there was nothing to do. More seriously: as a “solution”, we were offered rooms available at a price almost three times higher than the original value of the reservation.
It is evident what happened here: they cancelled old reservations made at normal prices to sell the rooms again at exaggerated prices taking advantage of the concert and the high demand. This is not only dishonest, but an abusive practice against guests.
I tried to resolve the situation by all means:
I contacted the accommodation directly.
The receptionist assured me that the administration would call me to fix the problem (that call never happened).
I reached out to Booking, who tried to help, but ultimately it was not possible to reverse the situation.
The end result is that, a few days into the trip, we were left with no place to stay, forced to look for last minute options well above our budget, when that is precisely why we had booked so far in advance.
This accommodation demonstrated:
Total disrespect for confirmed reservations.
Non-compliance with their own policies published on Booking.
Zero empathy with the guest.
Absolute priority for money and not ethics or service.
Practices I consider deceptive and abusive.
I attach all the evidence (messages, dates and communications) so that we can record what happened.
I do not recommend this place under any circumstances. If you are planning to travel for an important event, know that you can cancel your booking when it suits you financially and leave you without accommodation, regardless of the weather, planning or damage caused.

For a budget/ a few nights it works but the body wash and shampoo has a musty smell and there is no window. There is no hot water but it was a safe location and close to restaurants, shops and night life.

Hot tub broken, hotel had construction pipe sounds all night. Lady wouldnt change rooms, until the second day of no sleep. The room had bugs in the bed, and was very hot.
