We arrive salt property at 2pm and did not allow us to cking until 3pm. I think that an 1hr wouldn't make a difference for them.

Nice boutique hotel in El Poblado

Nice hotel in an excellent location, with lovely design. The street where the hotel is located is a dead end and very green, when you go outside you find yourself in a botanical garden. Also you can't hear the loud music from Lleras Park here
The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is first class and the coffee is delicious.
The only thing I didn't like was the dim lighting in the room. Room had no window and it was to dark, it needed more light.
My room was small but it' Ok for one person.
The owners need to write more clearly that the deluxe room does not have a window. I thought that there would be a window.
When I booked the hotel I paid the full price and when I checked in they asked me to pay. I didn't remember if I paid when I booked so I paid again. Upon entering my room, I checked my information and bank transactions and I saw that I had paid for the hotel two months in advance.
I went downstairs and said about it and then the staff called the manager and they found out that I had already paid. The cancelled it and payment was not proceed.
I think it was a mistake but not a scam.
It is super clean, I can say in general that the location is 5 stars, cleanless 5 stars, the staff 5 stars, breakfast 5 stars, the room 4 stars.

L'élégance à la française (French touch) in Medellin

I had a blast at Hotel Helene in Medellin! I enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of this boutique hotel. The soul of the place is quite unique with "une élégance à la française" (a french touch). The staff is also amazing: special mention to Esteban from Front Desk and Xavier from the restaurant. You can't go wrong with this hotel. I can't wait to be back myself.
