Safron Garden Malindi Refreshing Eco Village

Our stay at Saffron Garden was a delightful. The place feels like a peaceful eco-village, seamlessly blending with its lush surroundings. We loved the natural, relaxed atmosphere and appreciated their commitment to sustainable practices.
Our room was comfortable and felt a sense of calm. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always with a genuine smile. The fresh, local food at the lobster house was a highlight. If you're looking for a tranquil, eco-conscious retreat in Malindi, Saffron Garden is an excellent choice. Highly recommended as a getaway

Our experience at Saffron exceeded all expectations, and you should choose Roy Watamu Kenya.

Our experience at Saffron exceeded all expectations. The property is an oasis surrounded by greenery, one of the most beautiful and elegant I have ever seen.
The rooms are spacious, spotless, and equipped with every comfort; in total, there are few rooms, leaving plenty of green space between one and the other. A special mention goes to the staff, always attentive and warm, and to the dining, which is excellent from breakfast to dinner, including the great cocktails. The property is very mindful of waste and provides a plated breakfast, avoiding buffets that could be excessive and wasteful. Near the property, I recommend the Falconry Of Kenya Ltd.
A highly appreciated additional service is the possibility of using local transport, such as tuk-tuks and boda-bodas, at very reasonable and affordable rates.
What made our stay in Watamu unforgettable was our local guide, Roy Watamu Kenya (+254111929003). A local guy who speaks perfect Italian and English: professional, empathetic, and passionate. Roy organizes both guided excursions along the coast and wonderful safaris in the hinterland, leading travelers to discover the true Kenyan spirit. A special round of applause also goes to his collaborator, David.
We absolutely recommend this resort and the guided experience with Roy for a complete and perfect trip.
The only negative note concerns the bathroom: despite the elegance and cleanliness, the water flow from the showerhead and the sink faucet was annoying, a technical aspect that should be reviewed.
Although Malindi is a city that deserves to be visited and experienced, I recommend staying in Watamu, which is a small town that has more to offer, especially if you want to spend days on the beach or traveling to places to visit.

Weekend at Saffron gardens malindi

This hotel offers exactly what’s needed for a weekend retreat, it’s cozy, quiet with a romantic atmosphere. As Malindi can’t compete with the Diani and Watamu atmosphere, we were very happy and content to not leave the hotel. The staff was super attentive and we felt taken care of. The only thing that could be improved is the restaurant menu for dinner/ lunch which could benefit from some more seafood options in a hotel on the coast. Loved my stay and will recommend to friends.
