Mission Trip

I stayed some time ago with a group on a church mission trip. The grounds are nice and fee like a retreat from the bustling city. You are safe and secure with the armed guards.
Regionally this is a nice hotel. For a non-African Traveler the hotel possesses some challenges. Often the showers wouldn’t work. Turn it on and nothing would come out. When it did it was only cold water.
Someone parked their car directly outside my car window. The alarm went off for hours and hours throughout the night. I got no sleep and there was nothing anyone could do.
The food was decent and the staff were quite helpful. It’s the nicest hotel in the city, or so I was told

Good location but needs renovation - internet room pictures are fake!

The hotel is well located but needs a big renovation!!! The rooms in the internet are fake (!!!) meaning not from this hotel. Even the staff (very friendly) was surprised about these room pictures! Parking is good, the restaurant is very slow but okay.

Nice Hotel for a couple of nights

I found the Garden Hotel Machakos adequate for my purposes. The price for lodging provided was in line with other alternatives. The hotel was not in top shape. There were clear signs of aging, howevrer, all functions necessary for a good nights rest were in order. Hot shower, working electrical outlets, quality mosquito netting. The restaurant was perhaps a bit on the weak side. Service was both good and poor depending on who what on duty. Food good. I think the best feature was the price was right and I could get a good night of sleep.

Very strategic location but can offer better

The hotel has a very cool location. The place seems to have seen better days and requires a modern look or atleast improve on the amenities. The menu is ok for a budget hotel, and so are the rooms. Forget access to internet. The connection if unreliable
