Well priced - nice room and good breakfast

This is a rather new hotel (but they all are in Astana / Nur-Sultan), with large rooms and clean and luxurious bathrooms. Distances are quite large in this city, so don't count on walking to the city centre. There are a couple of bus lines nearby, but you can also take a taxi (make sure you agree on the price beforehand!).

Holidays for the weekend

We decided to try a new hotel this time. We came for two days, we realized we'd only be at the hotel at night, we walked all day.
But choosing a hotel, as in this app(front page)- shown photo with swimming pool)
But in fact we did not get into it, as its visit is not part of the hotel services, you can get into it only by paying extra. But we went for it, too, the kid set out to buy, but it turned out the pool still had to be booked in advance, and the day we were-- it was booked by others.
I never found any such information on the website.
That was the first upset.
The room was without extra decorations, but comfortable except ))
1. A nightstand that stood at the entrance completely blocking access to the closet where we never got to hang our clothes.
2. It's a bed - it squeaked at the slightest move (number 404), about being uncomfortable - I think everyone's figured it out by now.
3. We're here for breakfast, you can find food, you can't stay hungry. But appliances with a wooden handle, they are so fat, personal hygiene can only be dreamed of.
4. And that's the saddest part((
We lived on the 4th floor, the wing on the left as you get off the elevator. In the evening, we returned to our room and smelled something fried. But once inside the room, they calmed down a little bit, what smelled like it. But that was wrong. After an hour, it was about 11:00 p.m. that the room became saturated with boiled meat. It's like we had a cook in our room. They opened the window, but after closing the smell came back again. With the window open, sleeping in October is not very comfortable ((
But soon the smell changed: to the smell of fried pies. We had a night. The baby said this morning, I was like I wasn't sleeping.
The choice fell on the wrong hotel(((

Do not stay here

We were given an electronic key card to the wrong room. Once in the room, the odor of stale smoke permeated our nonsmoking room. The carpet was filthy - words cannot describe how dirty it was. There was no air conditioning in 5 rooms of my tour group - just blew warm air around. And then our electronic key car stopped working and we were given physical keys that were very difficult to insert in the dark hallway.

Good value but rather impersonal

When we stayed at this hotel, Nur-Sultan was still called Astana. The hotel is quite big; because the Uber driver didn't know it, we entered from a back entrance to the spa, and we almost got lost walking through the corridors and stairways. They have a good breakfast buffet, with vegetarian options. You can catch a bus at the bus stop nearby to get to the city centre.

Good value for mobey

We booked Goldman Empire after our original hotel wrote to say they were overbooked. As the Expo was on there was not much choice left.
However, the hotel was very accommodating, and allowing early check in (low cost, not the usual extra day rate!) with breakfast was great.
The rooms were ok, not Western 5* standard but clean and tidy with everything working fine.
The breakfast menu changed everyday so this was nice for variety and the food was all quite good with a large selection.
Although not located right downtown, taxis are cheap and came quickly so was not an issue.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Unless you are going for a western 5* brand, the Goldman Empire is an excellent choice for value for money but also a good, quiet place to stay.
