Next-level stay in Almaty – flawless for business and beyond

I spent 4 nights at Rahat Palace (April 21–25, 2026) during a business trip with key partners, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This hotel has clearly raised the bar – even by 5-star standards.
Rooms: Freshly renovated to the very latest trends. Think wireless charging built into the nightstands, state-of-the-art lighting scenes, a supremely comfortable new bed, and stylish, modern furniture. Everything felt current, clean, and thoughtfully designed.
Service: Absolute top-tier. The staff are simply out of this world – attentive, warm, and incredibly professional. From check-in to every small request in between, they made us feel like VIPs without being pushy.
Housekeeping & breakfast: Flawless. The room was spotless every single day, and the breakfast spread was delicious, fresh, and well-organized – perfect for fueling up before meetings.
Bonus: We often come here for brunch with partners (even outside business trips), and the hotel never disappoints. It’s become our go-to spot in Almaty for combining work with genuine comfort.
If you’re traveling for business or leisure – or just want to impress your partners – Rahat Palace delivers on every level. Highly recommended.

After 18 years, I'm back at Rahat Palace

I first stayed at Rahat Palace back in 2008. Back then it was one of the most prestigious and status hotels in Almaty, so it was particularly interesting to return here after all these years.
It was a pleasant surprise that the hotel kept its atmosphere. Yes, he's not new anymore, but that's exactly his charm. Such real old money - something resembling the old InterContinental in Tashkent.
The settlement went very quickly. We live with a friend in a Twin room. The room itself isn't the biggest, but it's very clean. Towels, bathroom, shower - all in excellent condition, you can see that the hotel is well followed. The only observation is that the beds are very narrow. The mattresses are comfortable, but the beds themselves would like to be wider.
Breakfast is decent: good choice of dishes, quality coffee, everything fresh and neat.
Unfortunately, the SPA has not yet lived up to expectations. The massage itself was weak: the masseuse had enough strength, but the technique was practically non-existent. Instead of relaxing, the whole session was tense. I hope the management pays attention to this, because for a hotel at this level, it's probably the only thing that gets out of the picture.
Separately I want to note the location - it is really great. Many attractions in Almaty can be easily reached in a few minutes.
I'm here for a few more days, so maybe I'll update the review later. So far, the experience is very good.

Happy to recommend the Hotel to others

Have stayed several times over the past few months this year, last time in May and have always been impressed with the accommodation and the facilities, some of which are currently being further upgraded. But most of all the staff, from the friendly welcome of the doormen outside, the reception staff, including Assem, Intizar and Nurzhar. In the restaurants, always smiling and helpful are Renat, Ualikhan, Alina, Ainurd and Dilya. The wonderful chefs, Arailym and Anzhela - I definitely like their tasty breakfast omelettes to start the day! And ever helpful cleaner Urkul. There are many more staff members of course and I apologise if I've forgotten names. Even though I'm sure they are often very busy, I have found the staff respond promptly and professionally. It has always been a joy to stay at the Rahat Palace. Best wishes to all.

Average place. Good location

We had requested a room on a higher floor but we were given a room on the 2nd floor where some construction work was going on and there was the strong smell of paint to which I'm allergic. We asked for a change of room and were given one on the 3rd floor. The room had very dim lighting and I had to use my phone torch to search for things in my suitcase.
Quality of room cleaning was very poor and the carpet smelt musty because it had clearly not been properly vacuumed in quite some time. The shower was not very convenient so we had to use the shower in the pool area.
On the positive side, the breakfast was decent and the pool, sauna and steam were quite good. The massage facility was good, too.
