Great hotel for a few days in Almaty

Lovely hotel, nice quiet location and excellent value for money. Staff friendly and keep to offer great service and attention to detail.

Central Locaion but needs some improvement

Writing this review while still staying here for 4 nights. Good location, walkable to some sights, lots of eateries nearby and a mall within walking distance. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are big, comfortable with bathtub in toilet. Breakfast included with our reservation. Good spread but most of selection are not kept warm thus not appetizing. My other complain is the room is.not properly cleaned. Into.my 2nd of 4 nights stains in the bathtub and WC still showing and dropped remnants on the floor not swept cleaned after 2 days of stay. After making the bed they never replaced my clothes back on the bed but 1 piece on the sofa and the other nearby, both days different pattern. My room faced the main road which can be noisy as its near a traffic light junction.

Great hotel in great location

We got a very spacious and comfortable suite for a very good price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with mostly local dishes which were very tasty. The location is great, just 5 minutes walk to a metro which connects to all main attractions. We were there for 5 nights, huge comfortable bed so slept really well and there were lovely mountain views from the room.

We were satisfied.

Spacious and clean room
Good and delicious breakfast
Polite and caring staff
I recommend the administration replace the towels already, given their repeated use. And also for winter, cold water in the pool. Everything else is just wonderful.

Worst guest experience ever, smell of sewage in the room

Worst guest reception ever!
I made a reservation specifically with a reserve of one day, since the flight was long with several transfers and we arrived at the hotel at 4 in the morning, we had not slept for 24 hours (and the reservation was from the previous day). Upon arrival, the hotel staff informed that since check-in at the hotel was not made until 12 am the previous day, they deleted my reservation and sold our rooms (I booked 2 rooms), but they called and wrote to me, but did not receive an answer - Of course we didn’t get it because I was on the plane...
Then they offered one free room, and promised to have the second one ready in a few hours. We decided to look at this room before moving in. The smell from the sewer was still in the hallway, and the window in the room was open (!), which is completely unacceptable according to hotel standards. The hotel employee tried to convince us that the room did not stink, it was just the smell of the bathroom. To my great surprise, the hotel staff not only did not try to help resolve the current situation, but did not even apologize.
I am an employee of a five-star European hotel and I know what I’m talking about - simply canceling a reservation without receiving a response is nonsense! At least in European hotels they keep the room for another day after the no show, to clarify the circumstances.
The attitude of the employees: complete indifference and indifference, I didn’t hear a simple “we apologize”...
Request to the hotel management: please train your employees how to act correctly in various situations, there are special training courses. And pay attention to the condition of the rooms and bathrooms!
I can’t claim that all the rooms stink of sewage because I’ve only been in one, but because of the disrespectful attitude of the staff toward guests, I strongly DO NOT recommend this hotel as a place to stay! My rating: -1!
