Very pleasant and comfortable stay

We had a very comfortable stay at Nova Inn Yellowknife. We booked a large Deluxe Queen Suite with a kitchenette and a sitting area with a sofa, which made it feel spacious and practical for our trip.
Yes, the furniture is a bit outdated, but everything was clean, warm, comfortable, and cozy - which mattered much more to us. The king-size bed was a highlight: an incredibly comfortable mattress, heavenly bedding, and fantastic double pillows. After long nights of chasing the aurora, it truly felt like bliss to sink into such a great bed and get a proper night’s sleep.
The location is also excellent - perfectly situated between Old Town and downtown, with everything within easy walking distance.
I also want to mention the staff, as I was surprised to see some negative comments in other reviews. Everyone we encountered during our three-night stay was genuinely kind and helpful. On our last day, we asked if a later checkout would be possible so we could align with the (free!) airport shuttle, and they happily accommodated us since it wasn’t too busy after the weekend.
We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay and would definitely consider coming back.

It was an okay stay it looks nothing like online the place is a bit Older but was good enough for the weekend.

Staff was exceedingly helpful and kind. Really great restaurant (Wing Freak) with small bar on 3rd Floor. Great location as well. Shuttle to airport a huge plus.

Room was clean, but in need of attention. Paint was worn off the walls, walls had patching that wasn't painted back over, bathroom tiles were cracked, it looked like the toilet seat had been burned by a torch, the shower is probably still draining from the shower I took yesterday. Overall, the place needs to invest in maintenance and upkeep. It was worn out. I will say the staff were very friendly and helpful though.
