Perfect & Authentic Old Quebec Experience

This place is excellent for the traveler who wants an authentic Old Quebec experience. We visited for a few days before departing on a cruise. The location is perfect. We stayed in a top floor room with a shared bath (down the hall.) Our room fronted the street with a small balcony. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings on this balcony. The gentleman who runs the place is a man of few words, but he takes great care of the place and was very helpful to us. Be prepared for stairs instead of a lift. We were not able to access the internet from our room, but this was not a problem, as there were many excellent cafes and restaurants nearby with strong internet. As with any old city, be prepared for parking challenges if you have a vehicle. We will definitely stray here again. When we told the proprietor how much we enjoyed our stay, he proudly showed us the large second-floor suite, with ensuite and a large balcony. Very nice!

great location

The hotel is a historic house, located in an exceptional location, right in the historic center, a stone's throw from all the most important attractions of the city. The rooms are comfortable and well cleaned, although they could use a refresh.
I recommend the hotel for the location, and for the great price.

Coments about my five days stay in the Hotel la Maison Demers in May 2025

Is a good Hotel located in the old town , is simple, but very well located and confortable , special mention for Mr. Marc who is always open to help with any information you need . Located in Quebec has a very good price and Mr. Marc
provide to the customers every morning at 7 am with and orange juice and a good cofee . v ery good wifi signal , If I visit again Quebec I will try to be on the same Hotel . Thanks Marc .

Nice stay, bad managment

I went with my friends there for two days and a half. The stay was nice, but after they charged us for breaking furniture we did not even touch. Furthermore, they charged us for smoking and doing drugs while none of us smoked or ever touched drugs. If you ever choose this place, make sure to take pictures of the building right after you enter. It will serve as proof if you do not break anything.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I stayed one night of no sleep and left in early morning hours.
This place is very old and has not been updated nor aired our for a long time. It smells musty (due to mold). My room was even worse due to no air flow even after I opened the patio door outside. The bathroom seemed a bit cleaner than the room. The bed and bedding was old, uncomfortable but clean. There were stains of armchair and carpet.
There were people terribly coughing all night long in the next rooms.
The breakfast was rationed on trays outside of the room (an old croissant, fruit, jam). The staff came across very unfriendly, unwelcoming and had a hard time answering any questions.
One good thing - location.
