A surprising gem.

Top notch hotel that far exceeded expectations. You should go to Port Hardy just for this hotel. Knowledgeable and exceedingly friendly staff. The attached pub/ restaurant would be at home in any metro area with a swing list for a table- frankly, it’s astonishing.

Fabulous hotel with all the comfort you need in a beautiful spot - Don't miss it!

Perfect location right on the water. Amazing views. The atmosphere is as it should, end of the road, many places to explore the wilderness in this beautiful part of Vancouver Island. The rooms were the best on our whole trip - comfy beds, not too soft, clean, spacious, beautiful design. no noise. Handy to have the bar/restaurant on the ground floor. I applaude Kirstie and Kristina for making this dream come true to restore and modernise this hotel. It makes you want to stay even longer. I can HIGHLY recommend it.

Great hotel with delicious restaurant

Location was beautiful and central, convenient to walk to our puffin-watching boat 2 blocks away. The hotel’s view is of a pretty seaside park and harbor. Best of all, the pub restaurant attached to the hotel is great, fine dining with a reasonable price tag— we went there twice and still want to try more of their dishes. The rooms are spacious and modern, convenient and comfortable without being overly fussy. We loved our stay.

Highly recommended

We had a great stay at Hotel 19!
The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean (we especially appreciated that there was no carpet), and the staff were friendly. It's locally owned by two local women, which made the stay feel even more special.
Our spacious room featured a modern bathroom and a big balcony with a beautiful ocean view. The room was very bright. It has mosquito screens. Very quiet. We slept very well.
The Korean restaurant in the hotel was excellent, and we also highly recommend breakfast at Café Guido nearby. Café Guido also has a hidden gem: a charming little book and gift shop.
Port Hardy itself impressed us as well, everything looked well maintained, newly renovated, and very welcoming. We would happily stay here again!

Nice first visit

My first stay, the check in and check out process being completely digital was different but seamless and easy. Everything about the room was great, the outside deck has not been renovated yet but I know that is a work in progress. The other features were very modern, clean as a whistle.
Stairs may be a little steep for elderly, recommend they stay on first floor.
