A lovely surprise!

I did not have very high expectations for this hotel (sorry Timberland!), but I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was small, but very comfortable. It offered a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker with a random brew that was actually really tasty! We booked the room with the shared bathroom, but our room had a sink and towels so we didn't need to occupy the bathroom to brush our teeth or wash our faces which was a nice option. The shower facilities were separated for men and women and was a tub/shower combo. The hotel provided soap and shampoo. The shower was separate from the restroom which had two stalls and two sinks. The bed was SUPER comfortable and the staff were wonderful.
I agree with other reviews that the pub connected to the hotel is very loud, so pack ear plugs! I slept fine through the noise with the ear plugs, and then we joined in on the fun for our second night!

Worst hotel in Hinton

The worst. Had to walk into the bar attached to the hotel to find front desk staff. After booking for a week and half they told me my rate changed and I had to pay more. Walk into room, cigarette burns on carpet and peeling paint everywhere. Paper thin walls. Canceled reservation after 2 nights and slept in vehicle

Enjoyed the stay

We stayed in Timberland one night. The price for the place is really cheap (only $64 with tax). Room was clean comfortable and big. The bed was comfortable and the front desk girl were wonderful. I will stay again.

When there is no other option

Late at night when there was no rooms available in Jasper we drove on to Hinton. However it is summer vacation and Hinton is already full as well so you take what you can. The noise levels from the bar below and adjacent rooms is very high. In addition we had highway traffic and the train noise. Simply left the antique air conditioner running all night to provide a steady rumble to facilitate some sleep. Many rooms share a common bathroom and shower. Dis-interested staff and many monthly tenants.

NOT FOR FAMILY WITH KIDS!

Horrible Experience! The receptionist was smoking cannabis with a guy at the main entrance door, the entire lobby stink with the smoke! My husband didn’t realized that he booked 2 nights in a NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY hotel, everywhere else is booked in Hinton already that’s why we end up here.
My husband made 3 trips to get our stuff in our van, and the receptionist and her guy still smoking cannabis at the main entrance door! We know it’s legal but I doubt the owner allows this act of unprofessionalism during work hours and while on duty at the reception area!!!!! Your receptionist is ON drugs while checking in your guest!!!!!
We left early the following day and cancelled our 2nd night... btw we paid $150/night and it’s not worth it!!!!
We at least have a clean sheets in our bed, and we didn’t bother to shower as we’re disgusted already. Definitely not a peaceful place to get a good sleep... noise is everywhere from other rooms and outside parking!
Management must really consider hiring a decent front desk personnel otherwise put on your website that your hotel is NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILY WITH KIDS!!!!
