Age-long exquisite service!

Waoh! It was my first trip to Douala and i was blown away by the service i got here. Apart from waiting for me for so long at the airport due to delayed flight, the staff was still very friendly and always ready to help...especially with my poor french! Overall, it was a magical 5 days for me and i must visit again whenever i come to Douala!

A hotel that is not well maintained at all. Rooms are old, with broken TV's, badly functioning airconditioning, damaged showers and WIFI that is not working 80% of the time. Rooms are a lot older then they look on the pictures. Hotel staff took an hour to understand my online booking. Restaurant staff actually had the nerve to tell me that the supposedly included breakfast is just not available. Second day they tried to charge me extra. Not good value for money, but it seems there are not a lot of options that are in the Akwa district.

Too many bugs

Positives: Okay neighborhood. WiFi was okay.
Negatives: So many. Very old and not so well-maintained. Overpriced and not great restaurant. My room seemed infested by bugs. There were little ones in the bathtub, and then at night I was constantly attacked by mosquitoes (no bednet) and another bug (I think dust mites). I put the AC on the highest setting and basically made myself sick to stop the mosquito bites. I barely slept. One of the worst hotel experiences. I couldn’t wait to leave

The hotel is grossly misrepresented on the internet.
This hotel is very date and not clean.
Situated is a challenging area.

Friendly placr

There's nothing special about this well-worn hotel but the staff are friendly, the rooms are fine and the wifi works well. It's conveniently located and my room, at the back, was surprisingly quiet. The pool is 'out of order' and the rooftop restaurant not in use, but who cares? I'd go back again.
