For those who love Russian Roulette and 4:50 AM "Impact" Wake-up Calls :)
There might be "lucky" rooms here, but since the management is extremely insincere, I suspect most are "unlucky." If you want to gamble with your health, be my guest.
1. Equipment & Amenities
- The Ceiling: Even for me (160cm / 5'3"), the dirty ventilation fan was right in front of my face. If you're 180cm (5'11") or taller, expect to hit your hand against the dirty fan while washing your hair. (See photo of my head for scale).
- The Bed (Short-size): It’s only about 180cm long. As a 160cm person, my feet stick out if I use a pillow. Tall international travelers? Forget about sleeping with straight legs.
- The Towel: I received one thin "bath towel" the size of a TV remote. It looked more like a used floor rag, so I didn't use it.
2. Hygiene & Health Warning
- Thick black mold covers the walls next to the bed. I've walked 6km through mountains without issue, but in this room, I suffered from coughing, headaches, and nausea.
- Cleaning is insufficient; I found other people's hair scattered on the floor.
3. The "Unfair" Management
Booking.com acknowledged the fault, but the host offered a predatory choice: "Evict now (after only 3 nights) for a 50% refund of the remaining 27 nights" or "Stay in this filth." They refuse a full refund for the 24 unstayed nights.
4. Illegal Rules & Noise
- They notify you of fines (100k - 300k JPY) AFTER payment, which violates the Consumer Contract Act.
- No cleaning, trash collection, or linen exchange even for stays over 20 nights.
- Noise: Heavy "heel-stomping" sounds until 2:00 AM. A loud impact noise wakes you up at 4:50 AM sharp. Highly recommended if you NEED to be awake at 4:50 AM! (Though the "stomping attack" times may vary).
[Legal Status]
Already reported to the Public Health Center and Consumer Affairs Agency. I am pursuing legal action based on the Civil Code and Consumer Contract Act for breach of safety obligations.
