Japan and Nagano at its best

If you plan to see the wild side of Japan, go to Nagano, and go to Tateshina, and stay at this place. If you are an adventurous eater, then a must. They serve wild bore, river fish sashimi, raw salmon, horse meat sashimi, mountain vegetable tempura and lots more,so much to eat, and delicious. The Ryokan is truely japanese style, with a beautiful tatami rooms, relaxing onsen, and the owner is very friendly and chatty. So is so much to see in this area, so many mountains to explore, its an experience you will never forget.

Wonderful food and onsen

We visited just after peak season and enjoyed a beautiful authentic ryokan experience. Close to Suwa shrine and mountain views. Easy access by shinkansen.
There are two private onsen baths, both clean and inviting. The dining was top quality, with many local specialties. Trout dishes and wild boar hot pot were outstanding.
English menus are not available, but the hosts are very friendly, and there was patience in working to communicate.

古さを良さと捉えられない人はおススメできません。
トイレ、洗面は部屋にはありません。
小さい虫は部屋に常駐していて、デカめのも甲虫も1匹出ました。
声はかなり通るので全て隣の部屋には聞かれてると思ったほうがいいです。

コスパの良い旅館

北横岳での雪山ハイクを楽しむためにお世話になりました。建物は古いですが、清掃が行き届いており、綺麗な旅館でした。夕食のボタン鍋のお肉が美味しく、出汁も良い味が出ていました。温泉も適温でゆっくりとのんびり温まることができました。

ししなべのみそが秀逸

ゴ－ルデウイ－ク・夏ごろに，毎年１～２回夕食にいきますが，「田舎料理」ですが，家族で満足しています。しし鍋・山菜天，そばがおいしいです。
宿泊したことがないので「宿泊」環境はわかりません。
