This is the most beautiful ryokan we have ever stayed at. The food was delicious with a great variety and the staff explained the menu. The owner came to greet us at dinner and as we were leaving, it was great to meet her. The rooms were amazing and well put together with so many thoughtful touches. I really enjoyed the private garden and bath each morning. The futons were the most comfortable futons that I’ve had. The staff also took great care to help us ship our luggage to our next stay. Very much looking forward to coming back here and staying longer!

We had a room with a private bath. The room, staff and experience set the standard by which all future accommodations will be measured. One just has to allow themselves to succumb to all things Haiya!

Large Traditional Ryokan in Ashihara Onsen

Since it's a winter trip to Hokuriku, should I choose the Nodoguro Course or the Echizen Crab Course? I wasn't sure, but I ended up ordering both, which made the course quite expensive. The food was good for the price, but I wasn't particularly surprised. The water is moderately large and the quality is soft. We stayed with four people this time, and the room was on the first floor of the main building, but it was spacious enough that we could relax. The customer service officer was a foreign woman, but there was no problem with hospitality at all. One thing that surprised me about this kind of luxury inn was that bottled beer in the fridge might be ridiculously expensive. I want a little more service. We have to take better care of individual customers than corporate customers.

The experience of staying this historical hotel is amazing, the staffed are polite and helpful from check in to check out. The public onsen is spacious and comfortable. The fusion food are creative but under average. My room type with an onsen inside also, the garden view is good
