The hostel has a great location on the cliffs above Hvitserker and a seal colony - an attractive old farmhouse.Eat before you get there or bring food. There is a shop to buy coffee pastries and fresh bread. A wonderful experience.9

Staff on check in was awesome!
Great to have a full kitchen!
The washing machine did the job great, clothes dryer was... weirdly bad. Clothes were in it for about 2 hrs and still wet. Did some investigative googling, and turns out it was a heat pump operated dryer. And they typically take over 4 hrs to dry. We ended up hanging our clothes out on the line outside and they were done in no time - we probably should have done that from the get-go.

Wonderful location, facing colony of seals!

Hostel housed in an Icelandic farm in a wonderful place! Spectacular view, with a short walk you get to the famous rock but especially to the seal colony, on the black beach. (Seals can also be seen from the cottage window!)
Sleeping here means porter take a walk in unspoilt nature even after dinner, without other tourists and in the Icelandic evening light.
Main body + 3 cottages.
Wooden rooms, clean with towels and blankets/sheets.
Common kitchen with the essentials (in cottages just a little tiny), even colander!
Hot water.
Simple bathrooms.
Great Wifi.
Professional washing machine (a bit slow, calculate the times well) and dryer for free use for guests.
Very expensive small bar (bring supplies).
Owner super friendly and helpful to give suggestions and information about the area.
Super recommended!

Hostel that is better than many guesthouse with nice location with panaromic view and short distance to Hvitserkur. My daughter love this place the most compared to oth guesthouses and hotels we stayed. Got a huge room that can sleep 5 for 3 of us with nice view to the ocean. There are 3 levels in total for this property with shared kitchen equipped with freezer and fridge, stove and oven at both kitchens. The lower level kitchen also has washing machine and dryer that can be used for frer compared to other guesthou]ses that I hv been to that charged ISK4,500 for the laundry service. Laundromat will cost about IDK3,000. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful to show us to the property and our room.

I would avoid

Crazy prices just to go to the bathroom (3.5 € each). considering that for km there is nothing, of course they take advantage of it. a short distance away there is a path that leads to a point where you can see schools of giant seals.
