Amazing

Very beautiful place. The title says it all, ubud hideaway.
Amazing place, with very sweet staff!!
The room I stayed in "dorm room", it had a double bed very spacious room and shared bathroom (with bath!).
The nature around it very beautiful!
Although It is about 30min from Ubud on the bike, it is well worth! You can easily travel up north, were there's lots and lots of amazing things to see. Or stay in the area for a mountain bike tour.
No doubts one of the best places I've stayed in!

Great remote location, minimal service

This hotel is a good drive out of Ubud which was fine for us as we wanted to be in the country but other reviewers had issue with its remoteness. For us, the issue wasn't its remoteness as the sounds of nature and green surroundings and pool were perfect and it was near to the Volcano in the north, but it's lack of management, evening meal or drinks options and staff's lack of English (although the woman was extremely friendly and even went out of her way to get us a simple evening meal, probably something not within her job description) made our stay slightly less comfortable. There really needed to be someone on hand at the lobby more frequently who could provide refreshments and meal options this far out of Ubud is essential so these things should be improved. Also, small things, like the bathroom wasn't completely clean and the stained table cloth hadn't been changed from one day to the next so this let down the cleanliness which many guests would not like. However, for us the room was small but comfortable with a very large bed enough for myself, wife and son and the pool was lovely.

a real hideaway in jungles

fantastic stay! i had a lullaby of night jungles daily, relaxing mornings by a beautiful and rather large pool, delicious breakfasts at a stunning terrace, easy access to explore lake Batur area and a great feeling of being at you own villa. this is a superb place at a very modest price

A hidden gem!

Without doubt, the nicest place we've stayed in Bali so far! It's basically a series of beautiful, classic Balinese style luxury villas, but for an extremely affordable price. There are options to stay in the 'Deluxe' luxury rooms either in the main building or in individual houses, the regular ensuites or the 'dormitory' style rooms. But let me be clear, all are furnished and designed to an extremely high standard. We stayed in the regular ensuite, a huge room had with marble floored room, 4 poster bed, flatscreen TV and DVD, wardrobe, writing bureau, sofa, large windows, and large bathroom ( with bath and shower, hot water of course). We have an enormous shaded veranda with table and chairs and use of a shared indoor area with tables and chairs, fridge, sink, hi-fi etc. Basically, We stay in one large villa, there are (only) 2 of these bedrooms and- if there were other guests- we'd share the common areas. The 'dorm' is the same : another luxury looking villa with large common area, all tiled or marbled floors, large, cool, airy common area with kitchen, very nice looking wooden tables and chairs, sofa, verandah etc but with a handful of small, very attractive looking double rooms attached. It's not really a dorm at all, but if you want to call it that, it's far and away the nicest/ best/ most luxurious looking dorm I've seen in 9 months of travel! Not one but 2 swimming pools, well maintained gardens, wi fi, free breakfast (!), wonderful staff, wafting incense, fine wooden carvings on the wall... It's just fantastic. But there's almost no- one else here. Which is a real shame. ( hence my long and glowing review.) they don't have much or a presence online, and yes it's about 17 or 20 km North of Ubud. So perhaps that's why. But if you have a scooter or transport, it's definitely worth it. We are coming south after visiting Batur, the only other guest is a Dutch girl going north to see the mountains. If you are on this route, or want to escape the mayhem, congestion and inflated prices of Ubud, I really recommend visiting. It's 150k for the 'dorm' and 200k for both of us to stay in the ensuite. ( £10 per night for our own luxury Balinese villa!!). Please come- it's such a nice place and such a shame to see it empty of guests!

A piece of paradise!

This hotel has almost everything, a wonderful breakfast, with fruits, bread, cheese, ham, tea and a lot more! The rooms are good too, very clean and good space. The bathrooms are also clean and big almost luxury. I had only two problems. The first one is the distance from the city. The hotel has a free private bus from there to the city downtown but only twice a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The other little problem was de dinner, one time I came back late and hungry so ordered a typical chicken dish, the issue wasn't the preparation, was the chicken, it just wasn't good.
It is really good in general though. I went there with my family and we really enjoyed it.
