Really enjoyable stay

Really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Mercure. Appreciated the pre arrival emails and contact and on arrival, a quick and personal check in by Agin. There is much to like about the Grand Mercure. Rooms are big and comfortable, and the (huge) beds especially so. Setup in the room was nicely done so a thank you to Lisa and her colleagues (two other people helped with the room setup, but I was not able to catch their names). Was impressed by the food, both at breakfast (plenty of local choices which is always a plus) and dinner (great sate) and facilities are good as well. Ample seats outside, making it very comfortable in the cooler Bandung weather. There is a nice pool (heated as well) with a cool koi fish pond in front of it and the gym is properly equipped too. All staff working very friendly and kind. One small disadvantage is that there is not really anything around the hotel and you would have to go down and uphill to go to the small supermarkets, which is a bit of a hike. Other than that however, we had a great stay and would certainly return.

Not recommended

The restaurant is not ready to receive the guests of the holiday season... no one is looking for the table standing looking for themselves nobody helping, except when I was a little upset by forcing staff to help. I stayed 23-26 March, today is still 25 March 2026 has been disappointing.
Just try it here once...
