Take me to their rooftop bar please!!
I never stayed in this hotel but I often come just to chillin on their rooftop mini bar. It’s quite enough also you can drinks beer, and enjoying their several beverages.
I will came back to this place again. I can’t forget the scenery of Makassar from this rooftop when it’s dawn.

Poor decision
I had an event at a hotel nearby but no room was available there. I thought this hotel is within walking distance, so I chose it. But it's the worst decision I made in my travel log. The room's so grim, I was given one without windows. It was nothing like what's shown in the online travel's website. The fridge was chained, couldn't use it. Why not remove it at all?? There's a sign in the bathroom "Thank you for not splashing water on the floor." Well if you don't want that, just put rails that can cover the shower tub. One lift went out of service on my 2nd day. Overall, buildings are old and management doesn't seem want to commit investment to renovate it. The next morning I saw a gecko passed on the wall, apparently I slept with it inside, never happened before in other hotels! Terrible. I wish I had chosen I**s instead which is not far. The plus are the nice staff and good view on rooftop where breakfast is served.

Very bad hygiene
First we got a room with very much mold in the bathroom. We did not want this room. So we got another room with the same problem. The staff had removed the mold on the cement and left this garbage at the bathroom. It was not okay! So we did not want this room neither. Then we got a little room without windows.
The bathroom was not that clean. And is very dangerous for old people because you have to step into the bath real high.
The staff in the restaurant was friendly but not so quick.
One night there was live music at the roof top. That was really nice.

quiet and modern
This modern hotel is located a short walk from Macassar boardwalk.
The hotel has a large and helpful reception though English is limited. Elevators lead to the rooms. The first room they showed me was a box with no windows that reeked of smoke. I asked for a sea view and was shown a bigger, non-smoking room with a large window with a sea view. The view was partially obstructed by another hotel but still it was a great view. The room was aircon, very clean and had a nice large bed.
On the roof of the hotel was a restaurant/bar with a cool evening breeze and a 360 degree view of the city.
Besides eating in the hotel there was only a few nearby eating places.
Overall, it was a comfortable place with easy access to the waterfront.

One day in and out
I had planned to stay multiple days in this place but checked out into another hotel after the first night. The pictures on the website of the rooms are NOT as advertised. For 500,000 it was not worth it. Room was NOT clean - floor had something like powder on it and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in awhile. I was frankly leery of going barefoot. There was lots of mold on the walls, shades and windows. The window's were not solid and had to squeeze tissue in them so they wouldn't rattle. The room was very small, esp. for the price. There was no safe, despite their advertisement of having them. The bathroom was VERY small, the fan was very loud and there were wires sticking out above the sink (perhaps there used to be an outlet there??). Internet service was just so-so. The breakfast was very basic, mostly Indonesian, o.k. but nothing special. The room card key did not work, had to go down to the desk to get help to get into my room multiple times. Staff were o.k., helpful. The hotel is also located near two mosques' so morning call to prayer is particularly loud here, even w/ ear plugs. I moved to another hotel (Clarion) which was having a special so room cost 475,000 night FAR superior - very clean, spacious rooms, with huge breakfast - so glad I did!
