View into the jungle
It was a great time. We arrived at night to start our 3-day tour into the jungle from the Lawang Inn the next morning. We slept well and the view from the room was wonderful. We came home late twice but they still cooked us delicious food. The owners are very helpful, friendly and gave us a real holiday feeling.

A lovely trip
We stayed for 2 nights only and we wished we could have stayed longer it was so lovely! From the moment we got collected from the airport it was so simple, our driver was friendly and drove us safely to Bukit Lawang - despite Indonesia’s crazy driving! The drive was around 4 hours due to traffic. When we arrived we were walked to the hotel (as cars cannot go on the road) and welcomed with food and drink which was lovely! Jerri and his team are extremely hospitable. We arranged the jungle trek with them too and this was a great experience! There were a few tour guides with us; so we felt safe if something were to happen! The tour guides were funny and interesting and answered any questions, and were great at making sure we were all okay and stopped whenever we needed. We saw three orngutans and it was AMAZING! We did the rafting back which was sooooo fun! Our room was so cute, and very clean! I was expected it to be like bugs life as we’re in the jungle but the most we saw was a little ant haha. The food was great and cooked by our lovely chef, who caters very well for vegan / vegetarian! When we left (sadly) our flight was early morning so we had to leave at 4am, Jerri and The driver were super helpful and arranged for us to leave at that time! The drive was faster on the way back as traffic was less. Overall it really was lovely, and Jerri and his team looking after us really made us feel at ease! Thanks again

Absolutely Amazing Place!
I highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of coming to Bukit Lawang Jerri and his team are top class and couldn’t do enough for us, we arranged an airport transfer which bought us straight to the house, the room was lovely with really comfortable beds! As soon as we arrived we were treated with a complementary drink and Jerri went though all the details of everything we will be doing during our stay, we then went out for drinks with him too which was a great laugh and also a couple of games of chess! The jungle trek arranged here was amazing too, really informative guides and they made sure sure we were all safe at all times and got to see a few orangutans which later followed by rafting down the river on inner tubes back to the house. This is the place to be in Bukit Lawang! 100%

Jungle accommodation
Our room was at a lower level, and had a very basic en-suite. During our 2 night stay, the water supply seemed intermittent, and we had to ask the owners several times to get it working, not ideal in a humid climate. Our toilet had problems flushing also, and had to request help for this too. Our room was quite dark even with lights on. The bed had a mosquito net which had some small visible holes and could not be properly sealed (fortunately we had a mosquito plug and repellent which seemed to save us!). The curtains didn't cover the windows, a pillow was dirty and signs of damp visible in the walls. We arranged our airport transfer and tour through the accommodation. The tour was good and we saw a few orangutans during our one day visit. Our guide Ronnie was chatty and helpful, especially as we requested a slower pace due to a recent operation. Jerri, the owner, was helpful in arranging everything prior to our stay. Breakfast was included but it was limited and on both days items like milk and honey were unavailable. We had lunch at the accommodation on our day of arrival, and it wasn't that nice. There are other restaurants nearby where the food is much nicer and the surroundings more welcoming, try Waterstone and Sam's Bungalow.

Brilliant
Great people, lovely to speak to, and great food!very accomadating and great at playing chess haha! ... I went there to eat a lot from my guesthouse which was down the road, highly recommend eating here
