Real haven of peace, excellent value for money
The rooms and the whole villa are very clean and very well decorated, with taste and with local craftsmanship.
The bedding is excellent and the cotton sheets of a rare quality.
I slept very well especially as there is no noise and the villa is in the middle of the rice fields so there is no rooster in the area. No trees too close so I didn't hear birds singing in the morning.
On the other hand, the rooms are definitely around the pool so if children play in the morning (it wasn't my case) it's possible that it could wake you up.
As a result there are no restaurants or shops to walk to from the villa. However, it's very easy to find a grab to go to a restaurant.
For me it is the perfect place to radiate and visit the temples and palaces around Ubud without getting caught in traffic jams when you leave or return if you take a hotel in the center of Ubud.
They also offer a driver with car 700k IDR for 10h, all expenses included.
For breakfast fruit, cereal, toast, jam, eggs. But the manager is very accommodating, if you give her your preferences, she will certainly prepare what you want as for me.
Besides the best is to add it on WhatsApp so that it can answer all your requests at any time, as for me.
On the other hand I took the standard room and it is quite small and lacks coat racks in the room to hang his clothes (there you do not put the pillows in the wardrobe as I had done and it took almost all the space).

DO NOT STAY HERE
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.! I booked a room through Agoda, and booked a driver from Seminyak to drive me up here. I got confirmation that I was good to go, and when I arrived the gate was locked, I rang the bell, knocked, called, had my driver call, emailed, waited for an hour and no one answered!!! The place looked extremely run down, desolate, and something out of a wrong turn movie. My phone was dead, and I can’t imagine if I wouldn’t have made the driver wait what could of gone wrong, sleeping in the rice fields wouldn’t of been my idea of a relaxing time. I took plenty of pics/vids of of the situation for anyone in doubt. Just stay anywhere else, and make sure the villa is in business before you waste hours of your vacation!!!

can't give this place enough stars
Straight out of a dream -- beautiful views, service, friendly welcome, excellent food, wonderful private excursions. It is wonderful to be in Bali but away from the touristy, mundane places. Should have written this review when I visited a year ago but I was reminded of the place today when a friend asked for a recommendation in Bali.

Serenity by the rice field
My partner and I stayed in Balam Bali Villa for a night only, because we need to continue our road trip to another places. It's too bad actually because we might have more opportunity to enjoy the scenery in the neighborhood.
During our stay, we didn't see another guest, just the owner and the staff, so we felt like being in a private villa. Ha!
Owner and staff were very nice and friendly. When we arrived in the villa, we got a short briefing about services and neighborhood. And in the morning, because my partner was still taking some rest, I enjoyed my breakfast accompanied by the staff. I had some stories about the recent updates in Bali, which pretty interesting to know how a place grow from the eyes of the locals.
We also enjoy our sleep, bed was fitted perfectly, we had clean sheets, cold air con and clean room. Furthermore with clean and unique bathroom, we did enjoy our shower time. There's an open window for ventilation, so air flow through the window.
One problem arose when we would like to explore another travel spot in different area, because villa located in a quite secluded place and there's less street lamp to reach the villa. I'm a local Indonesian and I can say it's not easy to drive by a small road / alley with very little light. If you're foreign tourist and somehow want to explore culinary in another spot, I'd recommend to take a cab. You can use Blue Bird / Uber / Grab.

Thank you so much for your review. We are indeed a bit far away... from the South of the island, not a quite place, but close to many Balinese treasures. Easy to spend a full week with us.

Perfect location, great staff
My partner and I just spent a week at Balambali villa. Balambali villa is a beautiful boutique hotel in an amazing tranquil setting in the middle of the rice paddies. The setting is idyllic and still feels like the authentic Bali, away from all the tourist areas. Our room was beautiful and the pool is just perfect after a long day of sight seeing. We purchased the package which allowed us to see many of the key tourist sights in Bali while still returning to the villa at night. The food is very good at the Villa and there is enough variety to satisfy every taste. What makes Balambali so special is the wonderful staff. Everyone is friendly and ready to help out in any way that they can. We were so lucky to visit one of the staff's home and meet his family, a special treat for us! Oka, Komang, Mayun, Made, Kadek and Suardi all made our stay memorable and just perfect!

Dear guests, wow this is a nice review ! I think that you found the place of your dreams. May be you should book a room for a year, like Coco Chanel did in the famous Rtz in Paris! The staff was very happy when we translated your comments to them. They were proud and red like a curry. come back !
