Excellent place to stay - with ghats , temples , eteries in a walking distance.

I stayed for 4 days here in March 2019 (but I couldn't put the correct date here). Stay at this place made my trip to Varanasi very enjoyable and memorable. I am still in touch with friends made at Varanasi while being in this place. The rooms are good , comfortable and nice. It could be made much nicer/cleaner with little effort - I found cob webs - but this doesn't matter much to me. Bathroom was good. AC was working. Breakfast was delicious. The rooftop has a fantastic view . The gem of a person is the manager - Mr. Sanjeev. We all called him lovingly - Sanju Bhai. He does his best to make your stay comfortable. He is very resourceful. He will get the best auto/tuk tuk driver to go to Sarnath or airport or station. He will suggest you the best place to have food. He can help you with the best way to go around Varanasi . He can help you with your travel needs.
Best part of my stay was the location - in a minute I was at the ghat, there are lot of good places to eat around, all the holy places / temples are within few minutes of walk.
I had a wonderful experience at Varanasi.

Surreal experience

I really appreciate the warmth and hospitality offered to me and my friend by Mr.Sanjeev ji- Manager and brother Golu in charge on housekeeping work respectively. Since I am an avid traveler, in my journeys across various places, I do come across people who touch our hearts. The entire team of ShivaKashi is so affectionate that now I have decided to make this my permanent place for staying in Varanasi whenever I Visit this place. Simply beautiful experience.
The rooms are clean with 24hr supply of water and hot water. The breakfast and tea too was very good. The hotel is located just few mts away from the ghats. There are lot of eating joints like bona cafe, monalisa cafe, brown bread bakery within 5minutes of walking distance. The location is very good but above all anyone staying here will witness the real Indian hospitality of treating guests like God. And if you are a lover of Dogs like myself, this place won't disappoint you at all... There is Casper the husky and Bajrangi to uplift your spirit anytime .. I cannot wait to come again even if it means to come for a day. Absolutely loved ShivaKashi. Thank you Sanjiv ji and Golu ji. And thank you Casper for the wonderful time. We miss you Casper.

Home away from home

This was my third time in Shivakashi Guest House. It is for me a home away from home. Mr. Sanjeev, the manager, is a perfect host. He is always there to help his guests or to have very nice talks. Gulu, the housekeeper is Sanjeev’s perfect assistant. The location is in the heart of Bengali Tola, in the heart of fascinating Varanasi, 30 seconds from Ganga and close to the main Alley with its restaurants, shops and chai stalls. Still this Guest House is a peaceful and quiet place with a beautiful roof top in front of the Ganga. I highly recommend this guest house for a full Varanasi experience

I will always return!!

This is my second time staying here. The hospitality was top rated! The manager and the boys are such wonderful person and helpful. I was still on healing period for my broken ankle and had to use a crutch. I booked in advance a chair to be put in bathroom and motor cycle to pick me up from the mainroad to the house. Even the manager had prepared an extra crutch for me! Such amazing and lovely manager he is! The boys helped me to get my meals and some of my shopping bags after shopping as i couldn’t carry all that up to my room on the 3rd floor with a crutch. It was really amazing stay and i will surely return next year!! Thank you for the hospitality and kindness! The room in the corner on the 3rd floor already have my name on it! :p

Friendly, calm place with friendly, helpful manager

We felt at home in the guest house. Apart from the nice room, hot shower and a beautiful rooftop view we got useful information and help whenever we needed. The location is great: in the middle of the ghats but still in a quiete lane (well, the monkeys, barking dogs and muezzins are just part of the city ;) )
