A heritage haveli

A wonderful experience of staying in a 250 year old haveli. Simple, clean and feels like home. Facing the Lake Pichola, the terrace offers a wonderful view of the Lake Palace at a fraction of the cost of staying in any of the five star hotels there. Simple Indian breakfast offered too. If one wants non veg food, the Rainbow restaurant adjacent offers lovely Indian and continental cuisine.

Checked out early - the rooms were so poor. dirty bedding, weird windows, broken toilet flush, no WiFi, poor water pressure. Double bed but just two single mattress pushed together.

Reachable only by AUTORICKSHAW

Located deep into the Old Udaipur city. Reachable only by auto rickshaw. Rooms was good.
It has a view of the Lake Palace and the surrounding area, looks beautiful from the terrace. Good restaurant near by.
Lakes in service, no room service, breakfast is lot to be desired.

Our family of four spent three nights at the Hotel Aashiya Haveli! We loved it there. The location is great, in the heart of where you want to stay (Lal Ghat) and there’s a great view of the lake from the roof. The room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Overall, it was very mellow and pleasant. Sometimes it was a little hard to find staff but that was never a big issue.

Genuine hospitality at this absolute gem

I chose this hotel for its location (excellent) & rooftop view (fantastic), but the kindness of the manager & staff are what truly made our stay memorable. We loved staying in a beautiful historic building on the edge of Lake Pichola, & the rates are so reasonable. Rooms are spotlessly clean, with lots of natural light & tastefully furnished. The beds are comfy & I slept soundly without any noise disturbance, the thick walls & AC providing calming respite from the warm weather & bustle. We enjoyed a tasty & filling breakfast each morning, & took advantage of the scenery from the rooftop at every chance we had. A special thank you to the manager who kindly allowed us to continue at the hotel after our check out time because my friend had fallen ill, & needed to rest. We were also attentively looked after by CP during our stay, & it was a highlight to have a chance to meet his family. Our stay at Aashiya Hotel was like being with friends or family, & I highly recommend it. If I ever have a chance to return to Udaipur, I won't consider staying anywhere else!
