Safe , convenient, big hotel of the town
The stay felt safe, especially when travelling with my wife. In comparison to many other hotels I had checked in the town, this one gave us a sense of security and peace of mind, which is a major factor when travelling with family. The premises are well-maintained, and the overall environment felt both professional and homely.
Food was another highlight—fresh, well-prepared, and served with care. While the hotel might not boast ultra-modern luxuries, it offers a very decent blend of cleanliness, safety, and courteous service.
I would definitely recommend Cachar Club to fellow researchers, working professionals, or families visiting Silchar, especially those seeking a safe and reliable stay option in the heart of the city. It’s a good base for academic visits or official work, with everything you need within reach.

GOOD PROPERTY WITH AWFUL FOOD
The breakfast spread was very limited, unappetizing, and carelessly prepared — the idlis and dhokla were hard, dry, and completely inedible. Dinner options were equally uninspiring, bland, and poorly cooked. On 14th June, the chicken served for buffet dinner was not only stale and undercooked but also chewy, flavorless, and quite possibly unsafe for consumption.
Overall, the food was tasteless, unhygienic, and lacked freshness or variety. The F&B service needs urgent and serious improvement.
